I think that it isn't a lock up as such, it belongs to Kevin, it's part of the garage he doesn't use and Gary asked Kevin if he could use it to store and renovate old furniture. He got the idea when the bloke who owed him money gave him some furniture because he had no money.

Michael told him the name of the storage unit as he recognised the key, he has used the storage unit himself a few times .. but the rest was a big stroke of luck for Gary...
