Can Steve take legal action in these circumstances? Ali was distracted and a bit indifferent towards Emma, certainly, but he wasn't on duty and the "consultation" (if you can even call it that) took place in the barber's, not a surgery with the appropriate equipment at hand. It's like someone asking his advice at at party or at the bus stop; he can't always get it right when he's not prepared.

I actually blame Gary and Maria .. who were more interested in their date than taking Emma to A&E in the first place as Emma's symptoms did not look like she was hungover or had food poisioning ... I doubt Steve would be able to sue Ali but in soapland you just never know ..

Didn't Emma refuse to go to A&E? I thought she did and told Gary and Maria to go.

where was all gary's shady contacts when he needed help getting a job and dealing with pat phelan, did he just take the loan business with rick's shady contacts
