Something like that. It's called a Platt exclusion.

Instead of finding out what is available, Platt just asks the kids what they want for breakfast.

Why didn't he buy a return ticket ?

    He's an awful parent

Also when he said he was trying to explain to the ticket collector that he had been to visit his wife in hospital and they asked him how she is, he replied he didn't know so they didn't believe him. He explained this to Maria by saying that he said that because they wouldn't let him see her. What sort of reasoning is that? He knows very well how she is. In any case, he did see her through the window, so he knew there was no change in her condition.

Perhaps I am imagining it, but I thought someone had already loaned their car to David Platt awhile ago, Leanne comes to mind. If they did was that someone else's car that he crashed into a skip. Maybe I have imagined it or getting mixed up with another soap.

Epilepsy doesn't preclude you from driving, speaking as someone who has epilepsy and has driven for some years. David has Soap-Type epilepsy, a subset of other illnesses and conditions that only occur when the story demands it.

Talking of David though, I can see him not having the time to make pancakes in the morning but no bread? Surely among all the cigarettes, booze, sweets etc Dev sells a basic thing like bread or indeed cereal.

Yes it was a nonsensical response from Platt.

You will know that once diagnosed you are supposed to surrender your licence and you don't get it back till you have been fit free for a year.

Not quite, the few fits I've had in years are while asleep, it's stress related rather than photo sensitive and as long as it stays that way it's quite legal.
