The rumours were true - Emmerdale fans haven't seen the last of the stranger that Finn Barton saved in last week's crash carnage.

Finn was a hero last week as he arrived on the scene of a horrifying road pile-up and helped to rescue a guy who was in a particularly bad way. Nice of him to spare a thought for the background characters and not just the show regulars.

The character was credited only as 'Crash Victim' in his initial appearance, but eagle-eyed fans noticed that Joe Gill - who plays Finn - followed the newbie on Twitter. Always a tell-tale sign.

'Crash Victim' finally gets a name next week when he's revealed as Kasim, who's still a long way from recovering from his role in the horrifying crash.

Keen to speak to Kasim, Finn decides to pay a visit to him at the hospital - although there probably won't be too much chit-chat just yet as Kasim is actually still in a coma. Finn fail!

As Finn begs Kasim to wake up, will they ever get the chance to talk? And what are Finn's intentions here?

Kasim is played by actor Ethan Kai, who's previously appeared in short films, theatre and TV commercials.

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Thursday, November 3 at 8pm on ITV.

Aaron Dingle will grow concerned about his friend Finn Barton on Emmerdale next week as he continues to grow close to crash victim Kasim.
Finn was a hero last month as he arrived on the scene of a horrifying road pile-up and helped to rescue a very injured guy by pulling his lifeless body from a vehicle.
With the man, who was later named as Kasim, still in a critical condition, Finn will start paying him visits in hospital during upcoming episodes, clearly feeling he has a real affinity with the stranger. However, when Aaron finds out about Finn's secret hospital visits next week, he is shocked and ultimately decides to advise his pal against it.
Aaron warns Finn he knows nothing about this man, insisting that he stops the visits and leaves him alone, but although Finn feigns agreement in a bid to get Aaron off his back, will he actually listen? Or will he continue to visit Kasim anyway? And more to the point, what are his real intentions with Kasim?

I think Finn is still traumatised after losing his dad and witnessing the crash himself, and feels he has to help a survivor of the crash in some way. If Kasim recovers, it might bring him a little bit of hope
