Meanwhile, Hollyoaks nurse Celine McQueen has a life-changing decision to make as she prepares to marry her aunty Myra's toyboy Diego Martinez.

The McQueens cook up the outrageous plan to impress Diego's no-nonsense mum Juanita (Jacey Salles), who holds the key to the wealthy family's fortune.

Although Celine (Sarah George) is willing to go along with the sham for the sake of her family, it's not easy for her as she still has genuine feelings for Jesse Donovan and wants to be with him instead.

Celine and Jesse (Luke Jerdy) even share a secret kiss in the run-up to the ceremony, which is witnessed by Diego and leaves him fearful that his new bride will have second thoughts.

It seems the scam may still be going ahead when Celine stubbornly ignores Jesse after their kiss, but Jesse's brother Liam later makes a shocking discovery on the morning of the wedding.

While doing the McQueens' hair, Liam finds that Celine has various cue cards jam-packed full of 'Diego facts' to help her keep the deception going. Liam rushes striaght to tell Jesse, who decides to stop the wedding.

When the McQueens arrive at the church, Celine is surprised to see Jesse there and wonders whether she can really go through with the sham wedding.

Celine goes ahead and walks down the aisle in her stunning wedding dress, but will she really exchange her vows with Diego (Juan Pablo Yepez)? And with Mercedes and Joe Roscoe also due to tie the knot in a double wedding to remember, what other drama is in store for the McQueens on the day?

Monday

It's Freshers' Week in the village and Harry, Zack and Cleo are enjoying student life already. Holly is charmed when she first meets Nick Savage and introduces him to the rest of the teens.

At the same time, Freddie and Ellie are pining for each other, but Ellie decides a night out at The Loft's 'traffic light party' with Lisa will help her get over him. However, Freddie turns up to help behind the bar, leaving Ellie floored.

Holly fancies Nick, but Tegan swoops in to talk to him first. Freddie's jealousy then peaks when he sees Ellie dancing with another guy. He grabs her wrist and tells her to go home and she slaps him, but Nick breaks up the fight.

Ellie moves in between Tegan and Nick to give him a 'thank you' kiss. They're still kissing when the lights come on at The Loft. Lisa directs everyone to the after-party at the Love Boat, but Ellie takes Nick back to the pub instead and leads him to her room.

Ellie then starts to feel really drunk and lies back on the bed, but Nick continues to kiss her. The next morning, Ellie wakes up with Nick by her side. She can't remember anything and the panic rises when she sees her underpants on the floor and realises they had sex.

Ellie is desperate to get Nick out of her room and is worried that she can't remember consenting to sex. However, an oblivious Nick has had the night of his life.


Tuesday

Ellie confides in Lisa that she can't remember anything after The Loft. The girls end up sitting with Nick and Holly at The Bean but Ellie rushes off, straight into Tegan who passes a judgemental comment about her.

Later, a distraught Ellie asks Freddie to take her back.

Meanwhile, Celine is feeling trapped by her promise to marry Diego. Myra shows Diego her wedding outfit, but he urges her to stay away from the ceremony if she wants Juanita to believe their scam.

Elsewhere, Joe is annoyed when Mercedes forgets to pick up their marriage license and they ask Joanne to help.

Also today, after being ditched by Nick last night, Tegan confides in Leela that she just wants a boyfriend. Courtney and Leela are hit with an idea when they see a connection between Tegan and Jesse.


Wednesday

Holly glams herself up and gives Nick a tour of Hollyoaks.

Later, Holly thinks Ellie is jealous when she keeps looking over to them at the pub.

Meanwhile, Mercedes is ready to party at her hen do. Juanita arrives and, although she's delighted to see Celine again, she can't get out of the McQueen house fast enough. Cindy clashes with Tegan and the two maids of honour go to war to throw the best party.

Later, Mercedes and Myra share a tender moment of reminiscing. However, Mercedes later gets caught up in Cindy and Tegan's fight in the village and they're all taken to the police station. Joanne arrives at the station and plants drugs in Mercedes's bag.

Elsewhere, Leela and Courtney persuade Jesse to give Tegan a chance. He goes to find Tegan at the McQueen house, but bumps into Celine and the star crossed lovers kiss - seen by Diego.


Thursday

Mercedes begs Freddie to keep her arrest quiet from Joe, while Joanne turns up at the Roscoe house to tell Joe the truth.

Joe is at the pub so Freddie handcuffs Joanne to the banister, while Mercedes dazzles her family with her elegant bridal look.

Meanwhile, Jesse is confused when Celine ignores him after their kiss. Liam's suspicions about Celine and Diego grow when he is doing the McQueens' hair and finds Celine's cue cards of Diego facts. He rushes to tell Jesse, who decides to stop the wedding.

Later, the McQueens arrive at the church and Celine is surprised to see Jesse there. Juanita and Diego are growing impatient as Celine wonders whether to go through with the sham wedding.


Friday

Myra arrives at Nightingales' and pretends to feel sorry for herself about Celine and Diego.

Myra's 'plight' strikes a chord with Marnie, who tells her to fight for her man.

Meanwhile, Celine makes her long walk down the aisle towards Diego, but will it all go to plan?
