Cool Holby City Spoilers 6th September

Essie steals Dominic away, much to Sacha's intrigue, and delights in revealing that she thinks she's pregnant but doesn't know how to tell Sacha the good news. Dominic suggests a box with the positive pregnant test in wrapped as a present. Delighted Essie heads off to do the test, but is left distraught when she discovers it's negative again.

Finding Essie on the ward, Sacha demands to know what all the secrecy with Dominic was about earlier. Essie reveals that she'd convinced herself she was pregnant this month, she'd even worked out how she was going to tell him and admits she doesn't think she can keep on doing this - she can't live constantly hoping and thinking she's pregnant, while never being happy for her friends who are.

Elsewhere, Serena desperately tries to cover her confused feelings for Bernie, but when she realises what she wants, is it too late?

Holby City's senior nurse Adrian 'Fletch' Fletcher has been left in a critical condition at the climax of Tuesday's episode after being stabbed by an unstable patient.
Fletch found himself attacked by the screwdriver-wielding James Fielding before being wheeled into the ITU to receive urgent treatment.

The cliffhanger then saw Connie react with shock and concern to what had happened to her colleague while Fletch continued to fight for his life.

Next week's episode of the long-running BBC1 medical drama will see initial attempts to wake Fletch not go according to plan when his BP suddenly drops. Staff are then forced to delay until further tests are done.
Later on, viewers will get to see the medics make a second bid to wake Fletch - but will there be further drama as a result of their efforts?
