Hollyoaks favourite Mercedes McQueen can finally stop biting that apple, as the soap's opening titles are getting a complete revamp.

Show bosses will reveal an all-new Hollyoaks title sequence next month, coinciding with the launch of an explosive autumn season.

That won't be the only change either, as there'll also be a brand new Hollyoaks logo and some subtle tweaks to the theme tune too.

The current Hollyoaks titles have been in use since September 2010, featuring shots of the show's main characters. While there have been additions and removals over the years as characters have come and gone, the style itself has stayed the same.

So what's different in the new titles? Well, the main change is that they've been filmed on-location in various spots around the village, showing the residents in all of the familiar locations.

Directed by regular Hollyoaks director Sean Glynn, the titles feature The Dog, The Tugboat, The Folly and even some hot tub hi-jinks with the show's sexy students.

There are some nods to the current titles too, as a few of the existing shots are recreated in the new style.

And if you're a true Hollyoaks geek, you might be interested to know that the mid-show "break bumpers" just before and after the adverts are changing too.

While the show currently cuts to and from the adverts with a standard shot of the logo, a whole host of new ones have been shot featuring the various different characters - just like the show used to do, remember?

So if Ste's having a particularly tough time before the adverts, you can expect him to pop up alongside the logo. Or if sly Sienna has a new plan in mind (when doesn't she?), it'll be her turn.

Hollyoaks will unleash the rebrand on Monday, September 5 – which is also the launch of the special Point of View week which sees the Patrick Blake murder plot come to a head.

Meanwhile, here's a first look at Hollyoaks' unmissable Point Of View Week, which will see the Patrick Blake murder plot come to a head in explosive scenes.

Show bosses have lined up five dramatic episodes focusing entirely on the dark plotline, telling the story of the same day from the different perspectives of the main players in the Patrick case.

These tense new pictures offer a sneak peek at Sienna Blake's episode, which is the final one of the week and is sure to be the most shocking.

Viewers will see Sienna (Anna Passey) flee suddenly when the police turn up at a Hollyoaks High fundraiser, which is being held in memory of Patrick.

Sienna's friend Leela Lomax (Kirsty-Leigh Porter) finds her in the woods where Patrick's body was moved to, but is torn when Sienna begs for her help getting away from the village and the police. Is Sienna now the prime suspect, or do they want to speak to her about someone else?

Sienna later decides to face up to her current predicament and goes to the police station, where she's questioned by DS Armstrong.

While at the station, there's a twist that Sienna didn't see coming and she's floored by a surprise witness statement that changes her life forever.

The police are then finally ready make an arrest for Patrick's murder, but does this mean that Sienna's evil daughter Nico has finally been caught out? Or is someone else about to get the blame?

Monday

Each episode this week is set on the same day, but shows a different point of view from each of the key players in the Patrick murder case. Today's episode focuses on Maxine.

DS Armstrong interrogates Maxine, certain that she is responsible for Patrick's death. When Maxine faints during questioning and goes to hospital, Tegan questions whether she might be pregnant.

Later, Maxine confides in Adam. They do a pregnancy test, but would the father be him or Warren?

It doesn't take long before Warren realises that Maxine could be pregnant and he confronts her, but the situation sparks a fight between him and Adam.

As the day continues, Maxine decides to hand herself in. DS Armstrong shows Maxine a brooch that was found at Patrick's woodland grave and asks her who else was involved.

Meanwhile, Ryan tells DS Armstrong that he has a plan to get Warren Fox to open up.


Tuesday

Each episode this week is set on the same day, but shows a different point of view from each of the key players in the Patrick murder case. Today's episode focuses on Darren and Nancy.

Jack is suspicious that Darren might be involved with Patrick's death. Darren also tries to hide his guilt when DS Armstrong asks him to come to the station.

Later, back at the Osborne house, Darren and Jack discover Maxine's pregnancy test – but they think it belongs to Nancy.

Meanwhile, at school, Nancy is struggling to control her emotions and panics when she can't stop her leg from trembling. Louis takes Nancy to the hospital and she confides in him that there might be something seriously wrong with her health.

As the day continues, Darren calls Armstrong and prepares to tell him the truth, while Nancy has had a light-bulb moment and confronts Nico about the night Patrick died.


Wednesday

Each episode this week is set on the same day, but shows a different point of view from each of the key players in the Patrick murder case. Today's episode focuses on Nico.

At the police station, Armstrong and Ryan discover an unseen video clip on Patrick's memory stick. They show Nico the video and she becomes their prime suspect.

Louis suggests that Simone should be Nico's solicitor, which Nico agrees to.

Later, however, Nico wants to flee and begs Peri to run away with her. Peri is suspicious when Tom - who is still sick - mentions the aftershave that she got him, which was given to her by Nico.

As the day continues, Nico prepares to tell Peri the whole truth about Patrick...


Thursday

Each episode this week is set on the same day, but shows a different point of view from each of the key players in the Patrick murder case. Today's episode focuses on Warren.

Warren is stunned when Sienna reveals that she was prepared to help Patrick die.

Later, Warren refuses to listen when Grace and Darren tell him about Sienna's damaged past with Patrick, but he starts to wonder whether she could have killed him and suggests to Sienna that they run away together.

Meanwhile, Ryan explains to Armstrong that he has a link to Warren's past and can use it to get a confession – Warren's son Joel.


Friday

Each episode this week is set on the same day, but shows a different point of view from each of the key players in the Patrick murder case. Today's episode focuses on Sienna.

Sienna flees a school fundraiser, which is being held in memory of Patrick, when the police arrive. Leela finds her in the woods and is conflicted when Sienna asks for her help to get away.

Sienna eventually goes to the police station and is questioned by Armstrong, but she is floored by a surprise witness statement which changes her life forever.

Meanwhile, the police finally make an arrest for Patrick's murder.
