Home and Away (UK) Spoilers 1st - 5th August 2016

Monday

When Tori hears that Alf is getting the Blaxland out of dry dock for a maintenance run, she volunteers mechanic Justin as a handy offsider. However, Alf is in no mood for hassle when Justin turns up late for work. He threatens to cast off without Justin, pointing out that he only hired him as a favour to Tori. Reminded of all the reasons he should at least try to make a go of this opportunity, the usually hot-headed Justin manages to bite his tongue and convince Alf to give him a shot.

Out on the water, Alf and Justin bond over their shared experience with bossy sisters and Justin's obvious love of boats. Everything seems to be going well until the unreliable Blaxland breaks down. Justin is confident that he can fix it, but when Alf starts to look increasingly unwell, it becomes clear he's having a heart attack.

With no time left to tinker with the engine and no way of contacting the mainland, bold Justin dives into the water and swims for shore to get help. But will he be able to raise the alarm in time?

Meanwhile, Tori is shocked to learn that the latest rumour doing the rounds at the hospital is that she's responsible for the break-up of Ricky and Nate's marriage. She does her best to shut down the hurtful gossip, but it's only when Nate stands up and bravely addresses all of his colleagues with the truth - that Ricky left him because of long standing issues between them and it was nothing to do with Tori - that they all start to move on.

Elsewhere, Hunter struggles in the wake of Andy's apparent confession and charges into the police station, demanding to speak to him.


Tuesday

ustin toughs it out through a long and hard swim, as he is determined to get help for Alf. Seeing Justin run out of the surf, Phoebe soon realises something is wrong and gives Justin her phone to ring for help. She then accompanies Justin to the hospital once Alf has been rescued.

After an anxious wait for news on Alf's condition, Nate finally delivers the prognosis - Alf's cardiologist is confident his heart is responding to treatment and he should make a full recovery. However, the nightmare isn't over for Roo, as Alf takes an unexpected turn for the worse in the morning. Will he make it through this time?

Meanwhile, the Morgan family secrets threaten to spill when Mason gets an unexpected visitor - Lara, a girl he left behind in the last place the family lived. After grilling him about his lack of contact, she then seduces him into proving how much he missed her in the bedroom. It seems the lovers couldn't be happier, until their tryst is interrupted by an angry Justin.

Full of grim warnings about how he has "compromised" their family, Justin reads Mason the riot act. Mason defends himself, claiming to be in love with Lara and insisting that he wants to keep seeing her. Later, Justin proves he has a ruthless cunning streak when he tells Mason that he is allowed to secretly see Lara away from the Bay, before going to Lara and threatening her to stay away from Mason.

Elsewhere, when Angelo's chef walks out, a hassled Phoebe receives help from an unexpected quarter as Brody steps in and takes over the kitchen. By the end of the day, he's saved her bacon and scored himself a new job. Though Justin and Brody are happy to drink a toast with Phoebe, it's starting to feel like a romantic triangle is forming.

Also today, Nate is disappointed when work gossip threatens to curb his new friendship with Tori.


Wednesday

A helpless Roo watches on as Nate and Tori work to bring a flatlining Alf back to life. Finally, they shock Alf's heart into rhythm again. However, when Tori and Nate check Alf's vitals, they're immediately worried and send him off for an urgent MRI. Tori later explains to Roo that Alf has suffered a stroke following his heart attack.

When the MRI results come back, the news is devastating. Alf has been put on life support to give his brain a rest but there's a possibility he won't wake up. Even if he does, Alf may have permanent neurological damage - he may not be the same person he was before the attack. John and Matt are devastated, but for Roo it's almost beyond comprehension as she maintains a bedside vigil, quietly urging him to come back to her.

Meanwhile, Tori turns up at Nate's place with a bottle of red. Nate invites her inside and they talk about the difficult day, as Tori praises how Nate handled treating Alf and talking to Roo. Nate admits it's one of the hardest things, having a patient that's also a friend.

Tori asks if she can hang out for a bit and avoid her brothers bickering at home, at least until her adrenalin goes down. Nate agrees, but when he heads out to get them some dinner, a tired Tori falls asleep on Nate's couch. Nate covers her with a blanket and looks upon his new friend fondly.

Also today, Josh gets a final face-to-face meeting with Andy before he is shipped to remand. Hunter's grief overwhelms him and he heads

to the police station to find Andy. An enraged Hunter starts goading Andy. When Andy doesn't respond, Hunter randomly grabs a pair of scissors and lunges at him. All are stunned as blood seeps from Andy's side.


Thursday

Evelyn finally admits that while she can accept Josh accidentally killed Charlotte, she is struggling with how well he covered it up. The couple are facing some rocky territory but are committed to getting through it.

Later, Ash tries to apologise to Kat, only for Kat to be called out on a job with McCarthy - to find Josh Barrett. The police turn up at the campsite to arrest Josh for being an accessory after the fact to the murder of Jake Pirovic.

Meanwhile, although Andy will be fine after the attack, there's no way out of charges for Hunter since the incident happened at the police station. It may also have an impact on Hunter's sentencing for his arson hearing next week. With help from Zac, Hunter finally learns how to work through Andy's betrayal without lashing out.

Elsewhere, Zac steps in when he notices that VJ is prioritising Billie over his studies.

Also today, Ash apologises to Kat for letting out a secret she had confided to him.


Friday

During a private moment at the police station, Kat implores Josh to tell them everything - including about Charlotte - before this gets worse or it comes out another way. Josh suggests that Kat is just worried about herself being exposed as covering for him, but Kat gets angry and explains that Andy got stabbed by Hunter for covering for him. Josh finally decides to confess to it all. Kat is surprised and goes to get McCarthy, but Josh begs to see Evie first.

When Evie arrives, Josh tells her about his plan to confess to Charlotte's murder. Evelyn refuses to let him do it, claiming that if he loves her, he won't leave her alone like this. She's determined not to lose anyone else and she doesn't care who it affects. Josh is left hesitant seeing what this is doing to Evie's state of mind. Soon afterwards, Evie tells Kat that if she pressures Josh to confess to Charlotte's murder, she will expose her involvement in the cover-up.

Meanwhile, Olivia gets a message from Irene's phone. It's a photo of a tied-up and scared-looking Irene, with the caption "I've got her". Olivia and Chris are shaken to the core. Olivia and Chris rush to the station to tell Kat. An urgent investigation is launched, but when Olivia later receives another disturbing picture message, this time the caption says: "Time to say goodbye".

Elsewhere, VJ is stunned when Billie tells him that she is falling in love with him.
