Threatened by Spike, Justin and Phoebe unite to find the elusive "book". Kat cant escape the fallout from her association with Ash. Chris accuses Brody of stealing customers and a war begins.


Tuesday

Evie´s partying is out of control, but she pushes away anyone who tries to help. Chris gets ever more ridiculous in his vendetta against Brody´s cooking. Kat is adamant she and Ash have no future together.


Wednesday

Evelyn and Mason decide to be friends - with benefits. Leah struggles to accept her impending grandmotherhood. Alf and Duncan clash over Duncan´s new plans.


Thursday

Justin and Phoebe make a breakthrough. Tabitha tries to keep Hunter and Olivia apart. Leah decides to go on the flight without Zac. Tori´s birthday flight takes off, but are they all in danger?

This week (August 1 - 4) is being dubbed the "Olympic cliffhanger week", with H&A then resuming on Monday August 22 in Australia, after the 2 week transmission break for the Olympics.

I read on another fan site about 4/5 weeks ago that there was an unconfirmed rumour going around that there will be a plane crash storyline coming up which involves a number of characters, & also that this will be how Johnny Ruffo/Chris leaves the show. Not sure of course whether this is true, & as I said, this is an unconfirmed rumour. I dismissed it at the time as just another wild rumour, but now we have this spoiler of "Tori's birthday flight takes off".....We will see!

So typical of finally getting a decent storyline, and its a two week cliffhanger. Oh well it could be worse - it could be the season ending for the extra long Christmas break.

I know I`m in the minority, but I can`t say I`ll miss Chris - even if he is getting killed off. Have never been keen on his character since the day he joined. I`ve mellowed towards him slightly this past year - but not enough to be sad he`s gone.
Maybe he`s hoping for a stint on Neighbours, but I can`t see them hiring him - especially with his off screen shenanigans.

- Morgans' Death Threat. Lives are on the line when Spike returns. Back to cause some more trouble, Spike warns Justin & Phoebe if they don't do what he says, the Morgan family will die.... Spike confronts Justin & Phoebe at her house. He says he's after Justin's dad's book. "When Spike comes into the house yelling 'The book, the book, the book', it's seriously a blank to Justin," James, 40, reveals. "Justin was heavily involved with his father, so he knows what went on. But, he doesn't know about this book." Despite Justin's lack of knowledge, Spike doesn't let up. A furious Spike demands that Justin & Phoebe search through boxes while he watches. All Justin can think about is keeping Phoebe safe. "Justin knows he needs to get the precious cargo, Phoebe, out of the way," James says. "But, they both don't want to detach. She desperately wants to help Justin & Justin doesn't want to lose her." When Spike eventually goes, his parting words leave an impression. He warns Justin if he doesn't find the book, or if he mentions the interaction to family or the police, everyone he cares about will die. "Spike doesn't want anyone else involved," James explains. "If Justin says anything to anyone, his family is dead." With the lives of everyone he cares about at risk, Justin & Phoebe continue to search for the elusive book. Unexpectedly, a clue appears in the most unlikely of places: Justin's childhood teddy bear, Bernie. Upon further inspection, the bear has a collar on it, which Justin has never noticed before. When they take a closer look, they realise it has a number on it. "It's definitely a clue," James reveals. "The bear & the book are related. They have to do some digging to find out where it will lead." With time ticking away, Justin & Phoebe must come up with answers for Spike before it's too late.

(Trivia: Jason Montgomery who plays Spike, played Tamara's (Kelly Paterniti) dad in H&A in 2013. He also played a cop in 2004).

- Look of Love. Will Justin & Phoebe be the Bay's hot new couple? Ever since they first locked eyes, the chemistry between Justin & Phoebe has been palpable. Getting to know each other has only added fuel to the fire. "Justin is really falling for Phoebe," James says. "She's really cool, fun & she's also super attractive." But, their situation is anything but simple. There's been so much drama surrounding the two of them. And, Justin's brother Brody, is keen on Phoebe, too. Justin is certain Phoebe feels the same way he does. "Phoebe keeps doing things that make him know she digs him," he says. Despite all their problems, can these two find love?

- Girl just wants to have fun. Evie's partying is out of control. Drinking & partying are quickly becoming Evie's favourite hobbies. When a concerned Matt confronts her about it, Evie claims she's "just having fun". "Evie says this to Matt because she wants him off her back," Philippa, 21, says. Deep down, the heartbroken teen knows her partying isn't just about having fun, "it's about numbing the pain away," Philippa acknowledges. While Matt is quick to point out what Evie's doing wrong, Mason is more supportive. The pair shared a drunken kiss last week. When they have dinner together, Mason asks her what's really going on. Instead of responding with words, she plants another kiss on him! "Evie doesn't want to talk," Philippa reveals. "She's not ready to do the deep & meaningful thing."

AUST PACE SPOILER ALERT!

After tonight's episode (in Sydney) there was a promo for next week, which included a scene showing those characters onboard the plane ready for Tori's birthday flight. The pilot is Duncan (who we found out this week is a charter pilot back in America). In the seats left of screen are Tori, Brody, Mason & Leah. On the right of screen are Nate, Evie (slightly obscured, but I am pretty sure it is Evie), Billie & Irene.

The latest TV Week says the following about the current week on Home and Away (Aus) 1 - 4 August:


DANGER IN THE SKY. When Duncan organises a lavish birthday party for Tori, disaster looms.

Some of your Home and Away favourites are in peril this week when a plane ride goes awry. The stakes are high - who will survive? After only a few dates with Tori (Penny McNamee), Duncan (Benedict Wall) makes a big romantic gesture. The pilot hires a plane & invites Tori's nearest & dearest for a birthday getaway. He plans to fly them all to a nearby winery to celebrate her special day. As their relationship is still in the early days, Tori is shocked by the surprise plans. "At first she's a bit overwhelmed & taken aback," Penny, 33, explains. "They're in the really early days & she's still trying to work out what feelings, if any, she has for Duncan." One reason Tori would be confused, or holding back her feelings for Duncan, is Nate (Kyle Pryor).

Love Rivals. Ever since Tori arrived in Summer Bay, she's had a close professional & personal relationship with her colleague. Nate led Tori on while he was dating Danika, & the pair have yet to recover from that betrayal. Nate confused matters further when he drunkenly confessed to Tori he had feelings for her. With the encounter fresh in her mind, Tori is torn. Continue dating Duncan & forget Nate? Or, ditch Duncan for the hot doctor? Later, Tori is left perplexed again when Nate fronts up in the sober light of day to tell Tori his feelings for her are genuine. "It makes her very confused & torn," Penny admits. "She's already started something with Duncan, so she wants to see that through to give him a fair chance...he's been so lovely to her." But is loyalty more important when it comes to matters of the heart? "Tori is still wary of Nate, but can't deny her feelings," Penny explains. "She has this natural chemistry she tries to avoid but can't. "Then again, she thinks Duncan is worthy of a fair shot. She wants to pursue that to see where it could lead." Ultimately, Tori turns Nate down, but he won't take no for an answer. "Nate knows there's something there," Kyle, 33, says. "He knows there are feelings & he is not willing to let it go that easily."

Unexpected Arrival. When Nate hears about the getaway Duncan has planned for Tori's birthday, he decides to join them. "Nate decides on the spur of the moment to turn up with a bottle of champagne & surprise her - much to Duncan's dismay," Kyle says. With jealousy in the air, Nate & Duncan are frosty towards each other. "The only thing that trumps doctor is pilot, so he's got him there," Kyle laughs. "Nate's like 'Who is this guy?' He does think of him as competition." Nate settles on the plane with Tori, Leah, Irene, Billie, Evie, Brody & Mason. Duncan tells his passengers to turn off their phones before the journey begins. Meanwhile, Justin (James Stewart) frantically tries to call his siblings after a threatening run-in with Spike. At the police station after being arrested, Spike whispered to Justin, "I hope Tori has a parachute." Does this mean Spike has planned an attack on the plane?

Runway Drama. With everyone's phones turned off, Justin can't get through to his loved ones, so races to the airport instead. The passengers are abuzz with excitement, happily chatting about the day ahead. Just as the plane starts to taxi down the runway, Justin arrives. Realising the plane is about to take off, he breaks into a sprint to try to stop them. But, he's not fast enough. The aircraft takes flight. What danger awaits them in the sky?
