They have a great work ethic in eastenders and never take time off work if they can help it...well, apart from Kush, Carmel, Steven and anyone else who fancies having time off.

Although Denise is probably not entitled to Job Seeker's Allowance as she quit her job, she would still be entitled to Hardship Payment. Instead of flogging off her sentimental jewellery, why doesn't she get down to her local DWP office and claim it? Or, alternatively, go to the local Citizens' Advice for a bit of...er...citizens' advice?

I thought the ending was very good, showing the despair and also the relief Denise was going to eat at last.

Mick don't know Woody is employed as bar manager and Tracey sacked, is he not in contact with Linda?

Max checking in on Jane and Ian, how considerate of him

An okay episode, nothing to shout about. Good scenes with Dot. I thought the post it notes everywhere totally ridiculous but very funny. I am surprised at Donna being a slob, yes Jay and Ben. Max is a nasty piece of work. I can see this story line being a slow burner. Pleased Kush put Carmel in her place.

Although ff I can understand Max's bitterness to so many on the square, even those not involved ,most of 'em in the full knowledge that an innocent man was locked up for what could have been heaven knows how many years and carried on with their lives regardless. I wonder if Max is aware that the police dropped any charges of complicity in the crime against the Beale clan ?

id say not and with jack he thought max was guilty, max should have started with beales, lauren, police and mitchells for his revenge, max is the nasty villian to gain sympathy for all others, he will come up loser in the end

Just caught up with Fridays. A good solid episode. Charlie deserved that punch. Not sure how this will end? The Denise story line is very sad. Diane Parish outstanding as always. Steven is becoming a bit creepy, but Lauren deserves everything she gets. Max will get his comeuppance in the end and then Jack can batter him.

Was it me or did the new Ollie look like Prince George. Did Kate and Wills lend him out for the afternoon?

I hate Max. Brilliantly played by Jake Wood. Poor Jack. What a good episode. I thought Denise's legs were going to give way, she does look thin. Nice to see a positive side to Michelle. Good on you girl.

The problem with Max's revenge storyline is we the viewer should be siding with Max and Charlie but it is Max who is coming off nasty wanting to hurt his brother Jack and step mother Dot by having Charlie take Matthew

I honestly think the writers are just making Max the villain to gain support for the ones who wronged him so they can go unpunished

Phil bribed a jury to get Max guilty, it would be poetic justice that a sober not sick Phil be sent to prison instead of away to a rehab clinic while Steve has time off

We have not seen Max do anything to Ian, Jane, Sharon or Phil yet and I doubt he will to Lauren or Abi and in Abi's case she didn't know Bobby was the killer, I do think her like Jack and Dot believed Max guilty

Max should be told about Keeble and Bryant's behaviour

I would like Marsden to return
