Possibly, there are a few ways to be put in after the fact, I think

I'm probably misreading the signals, but in the final scenes did Phil go along with Denise's wishes ?

I think so, but it was a bit confusing after all he'd said. I quite liked the idea of him and Sharon having the baby.

Yes, Denise had convinced him by telling him to think of the baby and not himself.

I also thought at the end that Phil had decided Denise was right. It looked to me like he was kissing his son goodbye. A very emotional episode...

(It'll be embarrassing if we're all wrong )

Yes I also thought he was agreeing with Denise which I think is what Sharon wanted, I know she told Phil she would support him but I think she is happy enough with them and Denny

I do wonder will Louise and Ben find out they have a new sibling

Diane Parish always knocks it out of the park with the acting, a very good episode, but sad

If we're correct that Phil won't contest the adoption, and if nothing else stops it from happening, I'll be very pleased that SOC decided to take the least sensational but most affecting route for this storyline.

That's not to say another DTC wouldn't bring the kid back in the future of course (which was what happened with Rebecca Fowler).
