Who are they trying to kid that Vincent is unfit?

I liked Michelle and Martin's talk at the allotment - I find them very believable as siblings. She is very different, but it has been twenty years and my memory of her is pretty hazy, so it doesn't bother me too much at the moment. It's funny because when Martin was taking about Pauline and Arthur, it didn't occur to me that this Martin has never even shared any scenes with them. I never thought that would happen!

I laughed at the dramatic way Jack announced he's still moving to Ongar (which is fast reaching mythical status in my mind ). I didn't like the way Max wasn't allowing him to grieve, although I know he was doing what he thought best. It was good to see Abi's warmth towards her dad.

I wonder if Scott Maslen is leaving? I don't find Jack likeable (although perhaps Ronnie's death will knock the arrogance out of him) so I don't personally care if he goes.

As much as I love EastEnders nod to their glory days and ledge characters, Michelle is mentioning Pauline and Arthur a bit too much. I love Stacey getting wound up by Michelle. Can't wait for Stacey to pop.

Scott Maslen and Perry Fenwick were excellent tonight and Dot broke my heart again, she made it all make sense to the children with Roxy and Ronnie. I almost believed there was a heaven. I wonder if Jack is going to leave and go to Ongar? I wonder if Charlie will come back to claim his son?

Quite revolting but funny, the pigeon pie scenes in the Vic. Johnny did make me howl when he was about to throw up. Babe is now Mrs Lovett. The dressing up was quite funny. Johnny looked good in that dress. Linda Henry has a gift for comedy, her put downs and one liners are legendary, especially when at Babes expense.

All in all a good episode(s) although no matter how good EastEnders is right now, an Hour is too much for me in one sitting.

Yes, Stacey's barely controlled fury at Michelle's high-handedness and interference is very amusing.

One of the issues with them bumping off Ronnie and Roxie is now there is a big load of kids and a widow. And that requires different storylines. He can't be the centre of anything unless he remarries Honey and then that means there's even more kids.
Jack moving away is a natural consequence of his new wife being bumped off. IMO.

Whilst this would be very natural in real life, soapland rarely follows those routes

Scott Maslen as Jack is doing amazing, his grieve is so raw, you really feel for him

I think him leaving with all the three kids is best

But story lines will be limited.. they couldn't dare insult fans by having him find new love any time soon. He's got a mountain of grief and kids to deal with. I don't think there's any property left near the square undeveloped for him to work on.

    His is classic bystander now.
I don't really want to have to watch him being sad as well as Lee being sad for the next few months.
