It was all sold to Ruby (both Sharons and Mels share), and Mel took all money for keeping quiet about Sharon's baby not being Phil's. When Mel passed away she left the Villa to Lisa, I assume she left her the money as well.

It might as well rain until September.

I do not understand Karen and Mitch's relationship, is it "open" ?

Sharon has the Vic and her son Kayden back

Where is Shirley and Tina moving to?

No. It closed a long time ago.

I think Mitch would like it to be, and enjoys needling Billy about it. Karen says it's not, and must see how Mitch's 'joking' is getting under Billy's skin. She needs to tell Mitch out and out that there is no chance.

Den and Angie two hander 1986

This was 1986 and back then when this aired everybody including myself thought this was the best thing since sliced bread. Anita and Leslie were not only the King and Queen of EastEnders but the King and Queen of soap and if there had been The British Soaps Awards in 1986 Anita and Leslie would have swept the board, no question. This was the first two hander, ground breaking and had never been done before.

EastEnders really did shake things up, Coronation Street was still looking old and dated as though it was set in the early 1970's, (although I loved it) Emmerdale Farm was a poor version of The Archers, Crossorads was going through it's glossy (on a budget Dallas stage) and lost it's identity, both soaps were facing the axe and Brookside was the only realistic, natural soap, portraying real working class lives.

The 1986 episode does not stand the test of time that well, the script is good, the acting by Anita very theatrical and I did struggle to hear Leslie at times and had to turn the volume up. I thought the set looked fantastic and loved how dowdy and deralic looking the Vic was.

I am not sure it is a good idea to air classic episodes, well not as far back as the 80's, but it is part of EE glorious History, as are the King and Queen of the Vic Den and Ang. (Not Peggy as many may think!) My favourite actor/actress from this period was Wendy Richard.

It makes me appreciate what we have now, even in it's current state, warts and all.

I remember when I first started watching Eastenders, it was the whole Ricky and Sam eloping to Gretna Green to get married. Peggy wasn't even played by Barbara Windsor then.

In what way, she has said to Billy she isn't interested in getting back with Mitch. Although that depends on whether she means it.
