The scenes with Denise and Cora were excellent. I could just cry for Denise. I just loved the fact even in her state, she still found the compassion to give her food away.

Ann Mitchell is a class act. I remember her Widows days Dolly Rawlins. Ann has had such a distinguished career in all mediums. Like Barbara Windsor the wonderful Joan Littlewood gave Ann a guiding hand and had an influence on her career. I am completely biased but I am a big fan of Ann Mitchell and so glad she is back in EE. There is only one other actress in EE that inspires such feeling from me and that is the much missed Wendy Richard.

That is one thing I can forgive Bryan Kirkwood for, he may have made mistakes while he was in the top job, but he did cast Ann in the role of Cora Cross so in my book that wipes the slate clean for me.

I would love to find out what has happened to Cora since leaving the square and how she ended up where she is now. It is an inspired story line to have Cora working and helping the less fortunate in the food banks.

I found the Vic scenes a little tedious, I am fed up of Mick already, go back to your Nancy mate, but I did think the Duff Duff was good.

Good scenes with Dot and as always Diane Parish was bang on the money with her scenes. I hope Denise does well in her exam. A good episode, not brilliant but watchable.

Are we really to expect Abi, Tanya and Lauren have had no contact with Cora that she did not know Max was innocent and released, she said they knew where she lived which is not supposedly far from The Square

Lovely to see Pam. Genuinely funny scenes with the house warming at Honey and Billy's. As soon as we saw the red wine you just knew what was going to happen.

The only downside was Mick the *****! He is really getting on my nerves. The Max plot is stepping up a gear. Nice to see Simon Williams again (he is a busy boy with BBC Soap, they must be getting their money's worth,) playing Justin Elliott a regular in the Archers and now this cameo in EastEnders.
