Am I the only one bit confused with why Whitney returned to the pub? I know she's been treated like family but that connection is no longer and she's now getting married to someone else on top of the fact she kissed and wanted more with Mick. I just think its weird she wanted to return and essentially live indefinitely there after everything. Not to mention Woody works at Linda's mum's bar so surely Linda was aware of Woody and Whitney's relationship before coming back and proposal.

Finally, if Mick loves Linda so much and wants his future to be with here, why let Whitney back...

I was such a big fan of Mick when he came into the soap and when the whole Dean storyline happened.. A marriage like that doesnt get broken in 8 months. Not every couple on every soap have to go through this.

Glad the producer left and we have a new one.

Dan, I have given up trying to figure out why certain things happen and why certain people in soapland do things that you and I and everybody sane else would know would not happen .. but it is drama and I guess it is best not to question things too far .. although the writers really really test us at times lately.. well they test me for sure

To be fair, Whitney didn't expect to live in the pub again and was surprised when she was invited to do so. She still feels close to the whole family and the Vic feels like home. I agree it's not very realistic though.

He was in a quandary I suppose. He still loves Linda and doesn't want their marriage to end, but this newer infatuation felt more real (not to mention exciting) while Linda was absent.

Exactly... And she hasn't gone off back to where-ever she disappeared to or where-ever Woody is living. She's gone to Stacey's. She doesn't have a home in Walford anymore.

if whitney was with woody at elaine's pub she knows how well elaine is, none of this storyline making sense and mick sounds like he wants to have a jump off someone other than his el, the only one he has been with

cora back and wising up stevo, bet she discovers his jumping with abs

Wonderful to have Cora back. Ann Mitchell a class act. I liked how she asked after Denise with real concern.

Mick has no backbone a pathetic excuse for a man. Linda don't take him back.

So Max is having his "affair" with Carmel, with the full blessing of Fi, so they can find out who is voting against their building proposal.

Now, here's a thought, why don't they go on to the Walford Council website and have a look at the agendas and associated papers and the minutes of the Planning Comittee meetings or, go along to the Planning Committee meetings, all of which would be open to the public. It seems to me to be a more sure fire way of finding out what's happening than relying on some tittle tattle from a fairly low ranking officer in the Planning Department; all above board and without the inherent risks.

I didn't realise that information was open to everyone since I know nothing about how councils work, but it's bizarre that the writers didn't research it. Plus the line that gave the councillor's name away to Max was extremely contrived.

I did like that we saw a flicker of a guilty conscience from Max even though it didn't last long. If he's to be redeemed and stick around after this storyline's over, he needs to realise the error of his ways at some point and start working against Fi and the Chairman. I don't believe that Fi really cares for Max.

I wish Cora would move back to Albert Square.
