Rakesh Kotecha could be about to face the fury of Cain Dingle - through no fault of his own.

Cain's half-sister Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) is at the centre of the trouble when she suffers a pregnancy scare amid her ongoing affair with Doctor Bailey.

Belle confides in Charity about how she might be expecting a baby and it's not long before word gets back to Cain (Jeff Hordley) too.

Now aware that Belle is dating a married man, Cain gets suspicious when he spots her sharing a friendly chat with Rakesh (Pasha Bocarie) in the middle of the village.

Cain isn't usually one to ask questions before taking drastic action, so could this misunderstanding lead to huge problems for Rakesh? And what will happen when Lisa stumbles across Belle's emergency contraception back home?

Emmerdale's Aaron Livesy could face further turmoil next week when his abusive dad Gordon makes new contact from his prison cell.

Gordon is facing a lengthy jail sentence having previously been found guilty of raping Aaron when he was a child, but upcoming episodes will see him attempt to haunt his son from behind bars.

Aaron has been hopeful for a fresh start following the trial's outcome and his decision to become his sister Liv's full-time guardian, but a new problem arises when Pete Barton arrives back in the village armed with a letter from Gordon.

Pete will return home having served his own stint in prison and will initially hand the letter to Robert for him to pass on. Worried about how Aaron will handle this latest setback, Robert ponders over what to do.

Adam Barton advises Robert that honesty is the best policy and he should let Aaron make the decision, but when Aaron coincidentally mentions that he wants nothing more to do with Gordon, Robert makes up his mind to set fire to the letter. But what does it say, and will Robert go through with it?

Emmerdale schemer Emma Barton is up to her old tricks again next week as she tells a shocking lie to stop her son Pete from leaving the village.

Emma (Gillian Kearney) will be delighted when Pete returns home after a stint in prison, but her happiness is short-lived when she learns that he is moving to Scotland the following day.

Pete is understandably keen for a fresh start away from the village, and he is given all the more reason to leave when he has another unpleasant run-in with Cain Dingle.

With Emma determined to keep her family together, the bad news just keeps on coming when her other son Finn offers to go to Scotland as well in order to support Pete.

A reeling Emma knows she needs to come up with a plan if she wants to keep her boys close and she later tells them she could have motor neurone disease.

Fans will have to tune in to see if Emma's shocking lie has the desired effect, but how will she keep it up if it does?

Pete returns from prison and hands Robert a letter from Gordon that he wants Aaron to have. A dubious Robert realises that this will do nothing to help Aaron move on and burns the letter – but these decisions have a habit of coming back to haunt people… [TW: I told previously on soapboards that Robert might burn the letter. This looks like another of Robert's impulsive moves which isn't the better one for him longterm...(but Robert keeps being "A Total Legend Forever"...haha!)]

Cain is less than pleased to see Pete and punches him when he turns up at Butler’s Farm but Emma is overjoyed to have her son back. So when he announces his plans to move to Scotland she takes drastic action – by saying that she might have motor neurone disease. [TW: This looks like another of Emma's impulsive moves which isn't the better one for her longterm...(is this déjÃ* vu or what? haha!)]

Meanwhile, Belle confides in Charity that she thinks she may be pregnant and when Charity helps her get the contraceptive pill, Lisa finds the tablets and becomes concerned over what her daughter is up to…
