Neighbours waves goodbye to two more characters later this month as Imogen Willis and Daniel Robinson bow out in heartwarming scenes.

Poor Imogen (Ariel Kaplan) has faced a devastating time recently due to the loss of her twin brother Josh and grandfather Doug, but there's happiness ahead when she gets a chance for a fresh start.

When Imogen receives a job offer from Naomi Canning in Los Angeles, Daniel (Tim Phillipps) hatches a plan for them to get married so they can both live out in the States together.

The young couple initially plan to have a low-key registry office marriage, but the Willises are tipped off when a flower delivery arrives and gives the game away.

With a little help from newcomer Madison Robinson, the pair are convinced to have a happy ceremony at home with family and friends instead.

Everyone pitches in to make the party happen, and Terese urges Imogen to wear her wedding dress.

While Daniel is getting his happy ending, there's no danger of this happening for his uncle Paul anytime soon.

Paul (Stefan Dennis) remains under suspicion of causing the Lassiters explosion, and even though he's buoyed when his niece Madison urges him to continue fighting to clear his name, it seems the worst is yet to come.

The bad boy faces an upsetting situation when Julie Quill (Gail Easdale) unleashes her pain and anger firmly in his direction, blaming him for the loss of her stepson Tom.

When Paul tries to be understanding by putting a comforting arm on Julie's shoulder, he only gives her ammunition to use against him as she reports him for harassment.

Taking stern action in response, Mark restricts Paul's bail conditions by forcing him to wear a tracker which restricts his movement to motel grounds. As Paul despairs over how he'll ever clear his name if he can't leave the motel, is all hope lost?

When Steph visits Paul in prison to hear his side of the story, he insists that he's been framed for the explosion at Lassiters. He reveals that he hired Cecilia Saint to cause trouble and now fears that she triggered the blast, so he asks Steph to track her down and secure a confession.

When Steph confronts Cecilia, she learns that Cecilia has an alibi and plans to deny all involvement with Paul. Paul begs Steph to put the motel up for his bail, so he can be free to find Cecilia himself and clear his name.

Later, Terese's fury spills over when Paul arrives to pay his respects at Josh's funeral. Paul pleads with her to believe that he would never hurt her or those she loves, but he soon realises that he has no place at the service.

Meanwhile, Lauren keeps the truth about Ned's break-in at Pam and Doug's house from Brad. Ned is grateful, determined to prove himself to his family before he reveals his dark past. However, Ned is later honest about the mistakes he's made - and Brad realises just how badly his eldest son has struggled without a strong male presence in his life. An embattled Pam refuses to forgive Ned, but can Lauren heal the rift?

    Tuesday

Terese continues her feud with Paul by making a scathing character assassination of him following his interruption at Josh's funeral. Paul is devastated. Steph gives him a lecture in changing his ways - now is the time to turn his life around, defy Terese's opinion of him and prove his innocence.

Steph appeals to Mark on Paul's behalf to try to clear his name. However with Cecilia refusing to testify and Tom still missing, Paul's hopes of proving his innocence seem dashed.

Meanwhile, Lauren appeals to Pam to give her grandson another chance. Pam breaks down, admitting that her harsh treatment of Ned is a way of dealing with her own guilt over Doug's death. Later, Ned reveals his true feelings about Brad.

Elsewhere, Sarah tries to make peace with Susan, expressing her desire to discuss something with her and Karl as soon as possible. Susan rejects Sarah's request. Later, an emotional Sarah asks Karl directly whether he and Susan are in it for the long haul. A stunned Karl misinterprets her intent, shocked in his belief that Sarah is propositioning him.

    Wednesday

Karl tells Susan that Sarah has propositioned him. Susan takes Sarah to task and won't listen when Sarah tries to explain that it's all a big misunderstanding. Sarah tries to hold Susan in the conversation, but in a bid to get away, Susan closes her car door and accidentally catches Sarah's hand.

In hospital, Karl treats Sarah's injury, but when he recommends an x-ray and painkillers, Sarah refuses them and is forced to tell Karl her shocking secret. When Karl suggests Sarah should be open about it, Sarah invokes doctor-patient confidentiality ethics - Karl cannot tell anyone.

Meanwhile, Paige continues her vigil for the unconscious John Doe and is present when he finally wakes up. The improvement in his medical condition is overshadowed when they realise he is suffering from amnesia. He has no idea who he is or where he is from. Paige's bond to this handsome stranger grows as she promises to support him until his identity is found.

Elsewhere, when Amy receives a letter from Kyle offering her a deal on buying the yard, her decision to stay or go is put into sharp relief.

Also today, Paul asks Steph to resort to underhanded methods to try and clear his name. The pair's digging suffers a fatal blow when Mark threatens Paul with further charges of interfering with a police investigation.

    Thursday

Julie Quill unleashes her pain and grief at Paul, blaming him for what happened to Tom. He tries to be understanding and reaches out to put a comforting arm on her shoulder, but she recoils and reports Paul to the police for harassment.

In response, Mark restricts Paul's bail conditions further - issuing him with an anklet tracker that restricts his movement to within motel grounds. Paul wonders how is he supposed to clear his name if he can't leave the motel, but as far as Mark is concerned, the investigation is police business.

Meanwhile, following Ned's act of revenge, Brad tries to show his wayward son that he's just as important as all of his other kids. He shows him his "Ned Box" which contains every photo, letter and report card he's been sent over the years.

Elsewhere, Aaron is gutted to receive another threatening text message. He's further concerned when Julie Quill shows up to beg for any information he has about Tom's whereabouts before the explosion. Nate becomes suspicious, pointing out that this is the second time Julie has approached them with similar questions. Believing she's the sender of the text messages, Nate tests his theory.

Also today, John Doe is finally being discharged from the hospital. Mark informs John that a Lassiters staff member met him on the morning of the explosion, and Paige and John are left hopeful that she may hold a key to his identity.

    Friday

Aaron's mystery enemy has demanded $10,000 to be placed in the old well that afternoon. Aaron is freaked and Nate tries to comfort him with a kiss. In his vulnerable state, Aaron allows it and it leads to more. The boys are forced to confront the realities of their relationship and whether it's back on.

Later, reality hits when Aaron receives yet another text. Nate has a plan and the boys lie in wait for the blackmailer - which leads to a shocking surprise...

Meanwhile, Paige convinces a reluctant Amy to give John Doe a job. A bond develops as Amy and John work together. Amy also successfully finds John somewhere to stay - Sheila's. John is thrilled, but Paige is starting to feel on the outer. When she visits Amy and John having a great time in the Canning spa, she begins to fear the man she has feelings for is slipping away.

Elsewhere, Paul suggests to Steph that Mark is only dating her to get to him. Steph rejects this, but Paul has planted a seed. Steph is forced to put her heart on the line, but does Mark feel the same way as her? Later, a chance sighting of Mark's police notebook gives Paul a clue in his quest to clear his name.

    Monday 25th April

It’s ANZAC Day, and Aaron has accompanied Nate to the Dawn Service, and then onto The Waterhole for the traditional two-up competition. The boys take comfort in each other, not realising they’re being watched by a mysterious POV. However, things take a worrying turn when Aaron receives a threatening text from a mysterious number: I know what you did to Tom Quill. Aaron’s freaked, but Nate advises they wait for the person to make the next move. Meanwhile, Karl and Susan are mystified when they arrive at The Waterhole to find Sarah running the events of the day. She reveals she’s taken over from Terese, who’s on bereavement leave. She is keen to make things up to Susan – starting with drinks, on the house. Susan is suspicious of her motives, but Karl reasons that Sarah’s just trying to make amends. However, after Sheila overhears Sarah mention Karl in a phone call to her ex husband, Dr. Peter Hannay, and witnesses her frequent bouts of nausea, she airs her theory to Susan – that Sarah is pregnant and has Karl in her sights. A call to Mal fails to allay Susan’s concerns and by the end of the day, she’s had enough of the secrecy. Determined to get to the bottom of things, she confronts Sarah only to be told the shocking truth.

More Neighbours*...*Imogen and Daniel learn that Judge Jan Barton has intervened with the registry and used her contacts to secure an expedited marriage license for them. They can marry as soon as they like. But when Imogen discovers Terese has been drinking again, she worries that leaving her mum at this sensitive time could be a mistake. When confronted, a lifeless Terese argues that she’s surely allowed one drink after losing her son. Still concerned, Imogen speaks to Brad about her dilemma. How can she take the job in the U.S. now? He encourages her to go, promising to look after Terese. This leads to Brad and Terese having a heart to heart, both expressing their raw emotions at losing Josh.Imogen visits her twin brother’s gravesite, talking to him as they once did. Daniel joins her and convinces her they should grab this opportunity with both hands. Life is short, and he’s certain it’s something Josh would want. After some deliberation, Imogen decides he’s right, but on one condition – they get married in secret, so as not to cause any more hurt. He then tells Madison, who is in a low mood after realising that Paul has been avoiding her calls. Madison is dubious about the plan but eventually lends her support – as long as their parents don’t find out. Xanthe returns from her fashion shoot to find Ben and Piper waiting for her. Piper reveals she knows about them finding Tom Quill’s money and criticises Xanthe for spending her share of it. But when Piper learns Ben used some of his share to buy her a new laptop, she realises she’s implicated. Hearing raised voices, Sheila barges in. Xanthe covers by showing her the photos and explaining she paid for them out of her own savings and that Piper and Ben chipped in. Sheila’s so impressed with the shots, she suggests Xanthe become an Instagram star. Determined to be a celebrity, Xanthe tags everyone at school in her photos with Piper and Madison’s help. However, she is ill prepared for what happens next...*

    Tuesday 26th April

Susan apologises to Sarah, who is gracious. It becomes clear to Susan during the discussion that Sarah is holding something back, and she talks to Karl about it, picking holes in all of Sarah’s justifications for coming to Erinsborough when her time left is so limited. His curiosity piqued, Karl asks Sarah what’s really going on, and she finally spits it out: she was going to ask Karl and Susan to look after her son, Angus. But she realises now that it’s too much to ask of anyone.*Daniel and Imogen go ahead with their plan to have a low key registry office marriage, but a flower delivery from Judge Barton tips her parents off and with Madison’s help they manage to arrive in time to encourage Daniel and Imogen to have a ceremony at home with family and friends. Everyone pitches in to make the party happen, and Terese urges Imogen to wear her wedding dress. The wedding goes without a hitch, with heartfelt vows and speeches. Afterward, Daniel goes to tell Paul his news and to say goodbye, devastating Paul when he confirms that he believes Paul is guilty of the explosion. Imogen has final words with her mother, still worrying about leaving Terese at such a vulnerable time, but Terese insists her daughter fly high. Daniel and Imogen exit Ramsay Street in a rattle of cans. In the aftermath, Terese returns to an empty house and is tempted by a bottle of wine. She resists, but there’s a sense that this battle isn’t over.*Tyler keeps trying to hold Piper at arm’s length because of his guilt over Josh’s death, and things come to a head when Piper asks him to give her driving lessons now that Imogen has handed Hermione over to her. Tyler rejects her, hurting Piper, who thought they were friends. Later, he tries to make it up to her, hating that he’s wounded her. Piper takes advantage of the moment to invite him to the wedding, and Tyler is so keen to see her happy he agrees. When Piper is moved by the speeches, she turns to him for comfort, and Tyler bails on her. Piper later confronts him – has she done something wrong? Tyler finally blurts it out: he thinks he’s responsible for killing Josh...

    Wednesday 27th April

Piper is shattered by Tyler’s confession, mainly because he’s been sitting on the truth for so long, and even if he does prove to be innocent, Piper isn’t sure that she’ll be able to forgive him. Mark is also irate about Tyler not coming forward sooner, but diligently sets about investigating the claim.* The only person who’s pleased about Tyler’s confession is Paul who hopes this news will finally clear his name.* But this creates feelings of conflict for Terese. Part of her wants Paul to be innocent, but a conviction for Tyler will cause pain for her daughter. When Tyler is cleared, Paul is devastated – until Madison encourages him not to give up. With Madison’s support, Paul resumes his investigation into the crime, once again determined to find the real culprit.Sarah confides in Karl and Susan that after she dies, she’s concerned about what will happen to her wayward sixteen-year old son, Angus.* She doesn’t believe there’s anyone else who could possibly look after him and give him what he needs, apart from them. This was Sarah’s rationale for coming back to Erinsborough. She realises how ridiculous this notion is, but she’s desperate. Will Karl and Susan help?*Brad finds out before the ceremony that he’s the winner of Erinsborough’s Citizen of the Year Award. Ned, who is finding himself more and more marginalised, feels that his father is completely unworthy of the honour, and decides to show up Brad’s failings in a very public and humiliating way.

    Thursday 28th April

Following the Citizen of the Year Awards ceremony, Lauren starts to suspect Ned is responsible for sending the humiliating drone footage to Sonya. She confronts him, and he admits it, revealing he was hurt that Brad has photos and mementos of all his other kids, and none of him. Lauren gently broaches the topic with Brad, who quickly takes steps to show Ned he’s just as important as all his other kids. He shows him his “Ned Box” which contains every photo, letter, and report card he’s been sent over the years. Brad acknowledges that they haven’t got many recent memories, but wants to create some now that they’re back in touch. Would Ned like to help him finish Doug’s bar? Warmed, Ned agrees.Aaron struggles to reconcile his guilt about leaving Tom for dead… and is gutted to receive another threatening text message. He’s further gutted when Julie Quill shows up to beg for any information he has about Tom’s whereabouts before the explosion. However, Nate’s suss. This is the second time Julie’s approached them, with similar questions. Believing she’s the sender of the text messages, Nate tests his theory – he replies to the mystery texter, hoping to see Julie’s phone light up. But it doesn’t. And the mystery remains.*Julie Quill unleashes her pain and grief at Paul, blaming him for what happened to Tom. Paul informs her that John Doe could also be in the frame. When she remains angry at him he tries to be understanding, knowing where her anger stems from. He reaches out to put a comforting arm on her shoulder, but she recoils, reporting Paul to the police for harassment. Mark restricts Paul’s bail conditions further, issuing him with an anklet tracker that restricts his movement to within motel grounds. Paul protests his innocence – how is he supposed to clear his name if he can’t leave the motel? But as far as Mark is concerned, the investigation is police business.*Paige continues to emotionally invest in John Doe, who’s finally being discharged from the hospital. Horrified to learn he’ll probably have to live in a halfway house, Paige asks Lauren if he can stay with them. Lauren lets Paige down – with Ned and Brad only just re-bonding, it’s not the best time for any outsiders to join the Turner household. Paige is upset, but there is good news at the end of the day, when John picks up a power drill… and knows how to use it! Mark also informs John that a Lassiters staff member met him on the morning of the explosion and Paige and John are left hopeful she may hold a key to his identity.

    Friday 29th April

Nate reveals that he texted Julie Quill to test if she was the mystery texter – but it’s not her. However, whoever it is has demanded ten grand to be placed in the old well that afternoon. Aaron is freaked, and Nate tries to comfort him – with a kiss. In his vulnerable state, Aaron allows it, and it leads to more. The boys are forced to confront the realities of their relationship. Is it back on? Do they want it to be? Aaron reveals his hurt from Nate’s abandonment and complete lack of communication. Nate, for the first time, realises the depth of pain that he’s caused Aaron, and apologises. And confesses that he still has strong feelings for Aaron, and if Aaron has them too, then they can work things out. It’s a nice distraction from the messages, however, reality hits when Aaron receives yet another text. Nate has a plan, and the boys lie in wait for the blackmailer. When he arrives, his face covered, there’s a scuffle, the blackmailer realises he’s been tricked with a bag filled with newspaper not money, and goes to flee. But Aaron manages to delay him and to see his face. It’s Tom Quill. He’s not dead. Paige, in her quest to help her dreamy saviour John Doe, press gangs reluctant Amy into giving him a job. John works diligently, and when he observes that Amy is really struggling with her workload both professional and emotional, he offers his assistance. Amy reads it as interference though, and banishes him to cleaning the ute. A slimy wholesaler demands to speak to Kyle, and when he becomes volatile John steps in, thinking he’s saving the day. But Amy takes it as a slight on her competence and lets John have it. However when she sees the amazing cleaning job he’s done on the ute, she apologises, and John’s quiet listening makes her feel comfortable enough to reveal the incredible stress she’s feeling. A bond develops, and they work together. Later, Amy is successful where Paige is not and finds John somewhere to stay: Sheila’s. John is thrilled, but Paige is starting to feel a bit on the outer. And when she visits Amy and John having a great (but platonic) time in the Canning spa, she begins to fear the man she has feelings for is slipping away. When Steph voices her frustration at Paul’s obsession with his case rather than with running their motel, his paranoia leads him to suggest that the only reason Mark is with Steph is to get to Paul – he’s never gotten over Kate. Steph rejects this, but Paul has planted a seed. And when she goes to Mark, his natural brusqueness does nothing to dispel her doubts. Despairing, Amy gives her the prod she needs to reach out to Mark, and she does so, inviting him to the motel and putting her heart on the line. She really likes him, and knows they can work through their differences. Hopefully he feels the same? Mark does, and they reconcile. But when Paul pops in to apologise, a chance sighting of Mark’s police notebook gives him a clue in his quest to clear his name.
