It's finally official - Olly Murs is out and Dermot O'Leary is in.

While Olly may have quit the coveted X Factor role, the cheeky star was hardly singing the praises of his replacement when the news broke.

Instead the former presenter found himself flipping the middle finger as people wondered how he'd react to Dermot signing a new deal with the talent show.

A picture - shared on Instagram - features Olly sat in the recording studio alongside acclaimed songwriter Diane Warren.

Nicole Scherzinger is returning to X Factor , according to a report.

The former Pussy Cat Doll was last on the judging panel in 2013 and it is reported that Simon Cowell is also expected to fill the 2016 seats with former judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.


They'll all be sat alongside Cowell when the talent show returns to ITV screens, later in the year, according to the Daily Mail.

It seems Rita Ora 's seat has already been filled.

Earlier today Rita Ora has publicly thanked the X Factor boss for her experience on the show, hours after it was revealed she had quit .

The singer pulled out of this year's talent show, alongside fellow judge Cheryl, and now she has promised to work with her boss again in the future - as she looked back on the memorable time.

She wrote on Twitter this morning: "I had a ball on @TheXFactor last year and will miss the team.

"@SimonCowell can't wait to work with you again... I'll be round for dinner soon. Thank you for the experience & love X."
