Emmerdale is soon going to return to a well-received storyline (and rarely-touched-upon topic), exploring Liv Flaherty's asexuality.
Actress Isobel Steele spilled the beans on the upcoming plot at this week's Inside Soap Awards.
"We're diving into Liv's asexuality again," she told The Mirror.
"It's interesting because that was brought up maybe six months ago and people were worried it wasn't going to be brought up again.
"She's having to reiterate how she feels towards relationships and sex and explain it all again to people she thought understood."
Steele added that Liv might have a romantic interest, but it won't be a sexual one, saying: "She fancies someone and she wants to spend time with this person but she has to explain that she's not sexually interested in them.
"Which can be interesting because, for some boys that's all it's about!"
Steele also added that Aaron Dingle will be there for Liv, after he came to terms with his own sexuality, explaining that "anything that is going on is acknowledged and understood, no matter how weird it seems".
