Over on Emmerdale, stressed-out Kirin Kotecha will lose his temper while looking after his baby son Johnny.

Over on Emmerdale, stressed-out Kirin Kotecha will lose his temper while looking after his baby son Johnny.

When Vanessa Woodfield is struck down by a virus, it's left to Kirin (Adam Fielding) to care for Johnny alone, but he soon realises that he is totally out of his depth.

As Kirin reaches breaking point while looking after crying Johnny, he reacts by grabbing a beer and turning the music up in order to drown him out.

At the end of his tether, Kirin ends up screaming in Johnny's face, but is horrified when he realises that Carly Hope has witnessed the whole thing.

A concerned Carly soon intervenes and takes Johnny away, while Kirin pleads with her not to tell Vanessa. Will Carly really be able to keep this disturbing scenario from her friend?

the start to us finding out what child-related issue Carly has had in her past?

I think Carly had a previously stillborn child or was forced somehow to give the baby up for adoption? Whatever the storyline, my impression is that there is some really sad emotional loss.

Carly has recently had a very bad experience with dating Ross. I really hope that the Emmerdale storyliners have not already decided to make Ross and Carly together again so she looks after Moses and he has a fit bird to use on his future dodgy jobs. Carly is on a suspended prison sentence right now, of course, and Ross is really the last type of guy that Carly wants to be around for now, I reckon. I'd really like Carly to settle with someone stable (maybe someone like Pete Barton?) but Ross always has so far seemed to stick his oar in and made little ripples grow after a while into tidal waves for others around him. I really hope that this influential ripple-making time is over now.

Aaron reports his father to the police, but he worries about how they'll prove the allegations.

While Cain tells the rest of the family about the abuse, Adam informs Robert that Aaron has gone to the police. Adam is grateful for Robert's part in getting Aaron to open up. But is the net finally closing in on Gordon, or will he manipulate his way out of it?

Meanwhile, an unwell Vanessa is diagnosed with the norovirus. The doctor advises her to stay away from Johnny for two days. Already struggling enough as it is, how will Kirin cope having to look after Johnny on his own?

Elsewhere, Carly teases Nikhil but puts her foot in it, accidentally telling him that Jai was the best Leyla's ever had. Leyla is seductively waiting for Nikhil, but she is thrown when he questions her about her sex life with Jai!

Also today, Adam is shocked when Nicola tells him that she works in the office full time now and they both bicker.

Kirin despairs as he continues to look after a crying Johnny on his own. He grabs a can of beer, turning the music up in order to drown Johnny out.

Soon afterwards, a frustrated Kirin is at the end of his tether and screams in Johnny's face. Carly sees him and takes Johnny away. Kirin pleads with her not to tell Vanessa, but can Carly keep this from her friend?

Meanwhile, Robert tells Aaron that he was proud of him for going to the police, but Aaron is tormented. Gordon threatens to get Cain sent down for what he did, unless Aaron tells the police that he lied about the abuse. Gordon is adamant that Aaron won't win, leaving him shaken. Aaron tells Chas about Gordon's threat and she's shocked when he says that he's leaving.

Later, Moira and Chas try to hide their dread when the police arrive, wanting to talk to Cain about an attempted murder...

Elsewhere, Leyla reassures Nikhil that he's enough, but she is soon struck with the norovirus and rushes off to be sick. Leyla is embarrassed but Nikhil is determined to look after her.

Also today, Paddy feels guilty as April says that she saw Tess crying at school.

Kirin is relieved when Carly returns and reluctantly hands Johnny back, but she is unconvinced when he promises that nothing like that will happen again.

Later, Leyla collapses. Carly sees the ambulance that has come for her and immediately gets the wrong impression. She accuses Kirin of harming Johnny, leaving Vanessa baffled.

Meanwhile, Tess opens up to Rhona about a married man she's been seeing. Rhona advises her to do what makes her happy. How will Paddy react when Rhona tells him about Tess's plans to move to the village, as well as the 'news' that she's had an affair with a married man?

Elsewhere, Chas refuses to tell Robert where Aaron is, but she is taken aback by his genuine emotion and concern for her son.

Also today, Gabby is intrigued when she discovers an online video of Kerry and Dan doing role-play. A horrified Bernice discovers the sex video and tells Gabby to delete it, but Gabby shares it instead.

Finally, a delirious Leyla tells Nikhil they should get married.

Paddy is shocked when Tess declares that she wants him to leave Rhona and be with her. Paddy struggles with his temper and tells her to go as she continues to put pressure on him. Tess throws a glass at the wall and leaves in an upset state.

While out driving, Tess pulls over into a layby, crying uncontrollably. She gets out of her car and brings up Rhona's number. Rhona answers the phone to an upset Tess and agrees to meet with her, much to Paddy's horror....

Meanwhile, a drunken Kirin pleads with Vanessa for a chance to see Johnny, but she tells him to come back when he's sober. Adam suggests giving Kirin a second chance with Johnny, but Kirin sees them all together and storms out. Rakesh is taken aback and worried when Kirin confesses what he did to Johnny. Later, Kirin is clearly in turmoil and sits in the car drinking vodka. Nikhil tries to stop him from driving but he speeds off, narrowly avoiding Brenda.

Elsewhere, Carly tells Tracy that she had a friend who lost a baby. However, Carly has a secret photo showing herself cradling a baby, who is clearly her own.

Also, Dan and Kerry are bombarded with funny comments and looks, until Moira finally tells Kerry there's a video of them both online.

Finally, Leyla dreads having another conversation with Nikhil following her delirious proposal.

Paddy tries to dissuade Rhona from going to see Tess, explaining that she tried it on with Marlon. Paddy then gets in the car, dreading what's about to happen.

Meanwhile, Kirin sees the missed calls from Vanessa and knows he needs to talk to her. Vanessa is relieved to see him and tells him that she understands he was pushed to the limit with Johnny. Kirin is emotional when she says that she's prepared to try again.

Elsewhere, Kerry is shocked to discover that it was Gabby who put the video online and she is angry with her meaningless apology. Despite Dan's reluctance, Kerry convinces him to watch the sex tape and is impressed with herself. She decides she doesn't want it taking down after all but Dan is incredulous!

Also, when Gabby overhears a conversation at home, Ashley has to tell her that Laurel might have had a miscarriage. He's aghast at Gabby's attitude as she says they really are cursed.

Gabby is irked when Bernice refuses to do her eyebrows. She tells Lachlan about her plan to draw on a "Scouse brow" with marker pen, and he tries to keep a straight face as she starts. Bernice is furious as she sees Gabby's eyebrows and tells her that she's not going on the ski trip. She despairs as Gabby storms out. Ashley offers to take Gabby off Bernice's hands for a few days.

On Tuesday’s Emmerdale, Kirin can’t cope – and shocks Carly with his aggression towards Johnny.

Turning up the music to drown out the baby’s crying, a frustrated Kirin is at the end of his tether and screams in Johnny’s face – just as Carly walks in.

She takes Johnny away, whilst Kirin pleads with her not to tell Vanessa – but can she keep this from her friend?

Elsewhere, Aaron is tormented by his decision to report Gordon, especially when Gordon threatens him over what Cain done.

Gordon tells him to tell the police he lied, or he’ll get Cain sent down – leaving Aaron shaken.

Also on Tuesday, Leyla reassures Nikhil that he’s enough for her and moves in for a kiss – just as the norovirus strikes her and she rushes off to be sick!

She’s mortified but Nikhil’s determined to look after her as she rushes off again...

Paddy feels guilty when April says she saw Tess crying at school, but as he heads out on a family day to the zoo, he determinedly deletes her number.

On Wednesday’s Emmerdale, Kirin is relieved when Carly brings Johnny back – but not for long.

She reluctantly hands the baby back to him and agrees not to mention it to Vanessa, but remains unconvinced when he says nothing will happen again.

Later though, when Leyla collapses and an ambulance is called, she panics and thinks the ambulance is for Johnny. Accusing Kirin of harming his son, Vanessa is baffled and demands answers...

Elsewhere, Paddy is feeling the pressure when Tess opens up to Rhona about a married man she’s been seeing – and Rhona advises her to do what makes her happy.

How will he react when Rhona tells him Tess’ plans to move to the village?

Also, Robert’s feelings for Aaron are clear when Chas refuses to tell him where her son has gone – and she’s taken aback by his genuine emotion and concern.

Paddy is feeling under pressure as Tess steps up her campaign to win him back.

Despite his warnings to stop calling him, he’s thrown when she turns up on his doorstep, saying she wants him to leave Rhona to be with her.

Burned from Paddy’s rejection, Tess pulls over into a layby in tears – and dials Rhona’s number, who agrees to meet with her, much to Paddy’s horror...

Elsewhere, Kirin is on a downward spiral, upset at what his temper has caused. He visits Vanessa who tells him to come back when he’s sober.

Vanessa is grateful later when Adam suggests giving him a second chance, but Kirin sees them together and assumes the worst, storming out. He sits in his car drinking vodka, and as Nikhil tries to stop him from driving he speeds off, narrowly missing Brenda...

Also, Carly shocks Tracy with her cold attitude, refusing to apologise. She eventually softens and apologises, saying she had a friend who lost a baby – exactly who’s baby was it?

Paddy tries his hardest to stop Rhona from going to see Tess.

He tells her that Tess tried it on with Marlon, but Rhona is determined – so Paddy gets in the car, dreading what’s about to happen...

Elsewhere, Kirin finally faces up to Vanessa who tells him she understands he was pushed to the limit, and he’s emotional when she says she’s prepared to try again.

Also, Ashley realises that Gabby’s attitude is getting out of hand when she overhears a conversation about Laurel’s baby.

Angry that they didn’t tell her, she leaves her father aghast with her comments about being cursed when he tells her the truth about Laurel’s possible miscarriage.
