Pierce Harris (Jonathan Wrather)
Former Coronation Street actor Jonathan Wrather has joined the cast of Emmerdale as Pierce Harris.
Pierce comes on the scene as his wife Tess (Nicola Stephenson) is having an affair with vet Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt).
However, Paddy never expected to come face-to-face with Tess's husband.
Tensions are sure to rise as Pierce makes his first appearance mid-February.
Wrather has appeared in a host of TV shows, including Coronation Street and Silent Witness.
"I am thrilled to be joining Emmerdale," he said.
"It's a great opportunity to be offered the chance to create a new character in one of TV's most popular shows and I'm very excited to be working with such an outstanding cast and team.
