The Ashley story is heart breaking. Digital Spy is reporting that Ashley's last scenes have now been finished. I will miss him.

Ashley & his family scenes are so sad to watch but very well acted.

I have to say I think Gabby, Liv & Arthur are turning into very good young actors and I find them much more interesting and enjoyable to watch than that ridiculous Lydia woman and some of the other characters that were in tonight's episode.

The calibre of a an episode does improve when our boys and other actors who have the performance ability to draw you into their story are on screen.

I agree, I love Robron but its always nice to get other stories and characters of interest as well.

I did see there's an itv preview pic for next week that says Jimmy & Bob return Ashley to the Care home but Ashley gets out again still wearing his Vicars cassock - maybe a Vicar comes into the storyline somewhere there? I'm probably reading too much into that though.

The lack of safety and care in Ashley's care home is weird, my Dad is in a care home and all doors to the outside are locked with keypads and alarms if they are opened also any outdoor areas do not have access to the outside world, this is to protect those with dementia.

I haven't had a tremendous amount to do with Care Homes (as both of my Parents passed away before a Home was needed to be considered) but I know when I have had the occasion to visit that there is usually a type of security to get in and out and I would think the employees would know the difference between who is a resident and a visitor before they released the doors. The bit about Ashley that concerned me yesterday was, that he was hiding food and although it was being supposedly monitored the staff had not picked up on the fact that he was losing weight surely there should be regular health checks like body weight etc done. Safety, security & personal care and attention given would always have been the main priorities I would have looked for, it must be such a hard choice to have to make.
