Exclamation Holby City Spoilers 8th December 2015

    'Skin and Blister'

Keen to secure his career change from anaesthesia to surgery, Jesse jumps at the chance to impress Hanssen and assist in theatre. When bike accident patient Caroline is admitted, Jesse is unnerved as she reminds him of someone. When Caroline's mother arrives, Jesse recognises her and is left reeling.

Jesse springs into action when Caroline begins to bleed, but her mother remembers him as the surgeon who operated on Caroline's sister, who died in surgery 20 years ago. She is distraught and wants him to have nothing to do with her daughter's treatment.

Later, when Hanssen struggles to stem a bleed in theatre, Jesse's knowledge of Caroline's sister's medical history enables him to diagnose the problem. Has he done enough to save her life?

Meanwhile, Jac's patient Orson is put out when he realises that his procedure is scheduled at the same time as his favourite TV programme and he won't give his consent. Fran thinks he urgently needs surgery but Jac is dismissive of her concerns, arguing that she can't force him into having an operation.

Later, Fran discovers that Orson has autism. When his condition deteriorates, he's rushed to surgery. Jac feels she dealt with the patient appropriately but is stunned when Hanssen pulls her out of theatre. There's been a formal complaint made against her and he has to take it seriously. Has Jac underestimated Fran?

Elsewhere, Cara is down in the dumps. When she hits it off with a flirtatious patient, Fletch and Raf see an opportunity to cheer her up. They encourage the patient to ask her out, but will their efforts to play Cupid backfire?
