It was an incredibly tough decision as I really like all nominees. In the end I took my glasses off and pointed my finger at the screen. Whoever was closest to my finger after I put my f\glasses back on got my vote.

To me it seemed like I was choosing one of my sons over another son. Or even playing favourites between my pooch and kitties.

First a big thank you to everyone who voted for me and even those who didn't. It's not the winning, it's the taking part....

Secondly, another big thank you. This time for Perdy for organising the awards this year. Thank you also to the police for holding back the crowds eager to push their way on to the red carpet and to the returning officer and his/her staff for their diligence. Thank you to all those who voted for me in the various individual categories as well including most entertaining male member (ooh er missus!). Though I should warn the person who voted for me as "Maddest Member" I know where you live and have already been on the blower to Phil Mitchell who will be organising a visit in the near future.

I would like to thank my parents for bringing me into this world, otherwise I wouldn't have won any awards at all. Also a big thank you to my publisher and agent, who said I had to mention them otherwise they would up their percentages. I would also like to thank everyone involved in the Soapboard over the whole year, those who look after it - yes, that's you Norman Bates - moderate it - yes that's you Siobahn - and contribute to it to make it one of the most entertaining, if not THE most entertaining, site on the Interweb.

Anyway, that's enough from me. All that's left now is the entertainment, which I for one am eagerly looking forward to as I believe that this year it is to be provide by the world famous "Naked Dance Trio", comprising moonstorm, Dazzle and lizann.

And so, as the sun sets in the west and the titles begin to roll, I would just like to finish with another big thank you to everyone as we look forward to 2016 and the end of Dean (not before time!), the "outing" of Bobby and Ben (in different ways of course), the return of Gavin who seems to have mysteriously disappeared and the release of Max to the loving arms of his family who did all they could to prevent him from going to prison (ahem!).

I'd just like to point out that I don't usually partake in the rather sordid naked dancing that goes on around these parts, but I'll make a exception just this once to celebrate your award (just don't expect such a delicious treat next year).

Wonderful acceptance speech, as always, Parkerman. i know Dazzle is a newbie but she has been putting in the hours and Liz and I both think she is ready. The hours she has put in with Len Goodman will be worth it! All that's left to say is, lights, camera, action..............
