Coronation Street cabbie Michael Rodwell starts acting suspiciously next week after a chance meeting with a mystery woman.
Michael starts acting strangely when he takes a booking from a customer at 22 Station Road. After dispatching a driver he’s uneasy when he returns to the cab office, moaning that the customer left her shopping in the taxi.

When the woman calls in the cab office to collect her shopping, Michael quickly offers to get one of the drivers to run her home free of charge leaving Eileen Grimshaw perplexed by his behaviour.
When Dee, the customer from Station Road, confides in Michael how scared she is to return home alone, he offers to go with her and carry her shopping in.
Dee’s touched whilst Michael conceals his guilt. What is he up to and how will Eileen react when she realises where he’s been

Yes, he is. Coronation Street actor Les Dennis has confirmed he’s taking a break from the soap so he can appear in a theatre play.
He’s been cast to play the role of Grandad in Alan Bleasdale’s Down the Dock Road at Royal Court.
The show follows the life of Grandad during his last day working down the Liverpool docks.
It kicks off in the spring and Les - who plays Weatherfield’s Michael Rodwell - has been granted special permission from Corrie bosses to appear in the play.
