Neighbours is set to become home to an Australian singer who has been cast in the long-running drama.
Candice Alley has joined the show in a recurring role.
She’ll play the role of Cecilia Saint, a mysterious woman that crosses paths with Steph Scully (Carla Bonner).
Candice, 33, first appeared on the Australian music scene in 2003 with her single “Falling”.
In recent years the former wife of swimmer Grant Hackett has focused on motherhood to their six-year-old twins Jagger and Charlize.
Neighboursis her first acting role.
“With such a love for acting, I feel so fortunate to be part of such an iconic Australian series and working with such an amazing team of people,” she says.
Candice first appears in the show tonight on Eleven at 6.30pm.
She’s not the only singer to turn up in Ramsay Street.
