    Round-up:

As Victoria continues to quiz Robert about his relationship with Aaron, he maintains that he is not gay. She immediately tells Andy that she needs to call Aaron - but when Andy recognises Aaron’s mobile number, the penny drops. Andy accuses Robert of Katie’s murder and a fight ensues. Robert is arrested and in the interview room he is interrogated about his relationship with both Katie and Andy, but he manages to turn the situation around and walks free. Later he and Aaron have a confrontation – and he is left stung when Aaron calls him a pathetic greedy coward. Robert is making enemies everywhere. He first plots to turn Andy’s distress to his advantage, then he tells Lawrence that he was the one who set up the rent boy. Chas warns Robert darklythat it is time he left the village – only for Robert to be shot and taken to hospital where he flatlines and is rushed into surgery. When Marcus arrives demanding his aunt’s jewellery back, Jimmy is stunned and panics, dropping both Rodney and himself right in it. Realising that he needs to get rid of the gun – and fast – Ross throws it into the river, where he is spotted by Lachlan. Priya tells David that they have been refused planning permission and he reckons that his dad is behind it. Belle is mortified when Zakand Lisa warn Kirin to treat her properly. The pair nonetheless end up in a clinch, but are unaware that Lachlan has seen them. Debbie tells a disappointed Ross that she cannot give him what he wants and Pete looks on triumphantly as his brother feels the pain of rejection. Ross announces that he is leaving for good and Debbie feels a pang of regret. Robert fights for his life as the
villagers begin to suspect each other.

Aaron Livesy and Chas Dingle tell a huge lie about Katie Sugden as the truth about her death starts to unravel.

The pair are forced to tell Andy that Katie was planning to leave him in her final days alive, in a bid to prevent the police making an arrest.

With Andy determined to discover the truth about his wife's untimely demise, the penny stars to drop when he learns that Aaron was the last person Katie called before she died.

Andy's discovery floors a panic-stricken Aaron, who lies and says that Katie called him because she was planning to leave Andy, but he doesn't buy it and heads over to see Robert.

However, whilst he is speaking to Robert, Andy begins to put two and two together and eventually asks his nervous brother if he had anything to do with Katie's death.

Backed into a corner, Robert finally tells Andy the truth but intentionally refrains from revealing Aaron's involvement. With tensions at all-time high, a terrified Aaron also opens up about what happened, telling Chas that he helped cover up for Robert.

Although Chas is horrified by Aaron and Robert's actions, she is determined to protect her son as Robert is questioned by the police.

As Robert manages to convince everyone - including the police - that he is innocent, it all becomes too much for Andy who can't take anymore of his brother's lies.

However, Andy is left reeling when Chas guiltily covers up for Robert and Aaron by supporting their lie that Katie was planning to leave him.

Despite her lies, Chas makes her intentions clear when she tells Robert that he needs to leave the village right away, but he doesn't heed her warning.

The shock sequence of events sets the scene for Robert's shooting at the hands of a mystery assailant, but who has taken their revenge?

This storyline is way more interesting than that boring summer disaster. This Robert and Aaron storyline seems really exciting. My only fear is the shooter will be Lachlan or Andy that would be too predictable.

If this sequence is correct, Lawrence arrives on the scene just after Robert is shot. I wonder if Lawrence is carrying/has just used the 'missing' gun from Home Farm?

Aaron is quickly on the scene too.

Lachlan is around too. He is possibly walking home from the village when Lawrence's car later passes him as it leaves the village? Does he throw the gun into the hedge? When he's told (by Lawrence from his car?) that Robert has been shot, is Lachlan 'visibly shaken' because he's guilty of shooting, or because he meant to fire at Chas, or because he had nothing to do with the shooting but has just disposed of the unused gun (or maybe he was out shooting wildlife/practicing gun firing?)?

So, it looks as if the ex-Ross gun ends up in the hedge by a road on Friday 25th?

This gun was shown on TV during Tuesday's episode when Lachlan found it in the stream. This is a heavy-duty weapon and not the type of lady-like gun you'd expect Chrissie to have had in the safe at Home Farm.

The gun Lachlan finds in the stream

During the Tuesday episode, Lachlan arrives home with the rucksack containing the gun. The script goes like this.

    Lachlan:
    Everything all right?

    Chrissie:
He might not have been very popular with us but he appears to be catnip to the clients. That was the third one today. Won't talk to me, insists on contacting him.

    Lachlan:
Well, we'll have to just get used to him not being around.

    Chrissie:
    Oh, ay, here's hoping.

    Lachlan:
Well, he's not coming back, is he?

    Chrissie:
Not if I can help it. That doesn't mean he won't try and weasel his way back in, you know what he's like.

    Lachlan:
Would have been better if you'd never even met him.

    Chrissie:
There's nothing I can do about that, I'm afraid.

    Lachlan:
    No.

(Lachlan walks away, looking at the rucksack, then looks back at Chrissie. He clearly has an idea in mind...)

So Lachlan is definitely a shooter suspect, having motive, means and opportunity on Friday 25th!

    See videoclip at:

    (Lachlan/Chrissie scene from about 50secs.)
