An unlikely hero leads the team to a crucial diagnosis and Rita helps a desperate man realise that he needs help.
New nurse Jacob Masters bursts into the Emergency Department and does all he can to make sure his friend is seen to, making quite an impression on the staff. Connie is a fan and encourages him to speak to Rita about joining the team. Rita doesn’t appreciate this but Jacob insists he’s on her side.
Things get worse for Dylan as he struggles with his obsessive behaviour compulsions. Feeling anxious without his lucky shirt, he avoids resus bay four. Rita starts helping Cal to study, while Zoe goes in to a panic when Max reveals his mum is coming to visit.
