Dean Wicks will come face-to-face with his daughter Jade on EastEnders next week after he has a change of heart about wanting to meet her.

After a DNA test reveals that Dean (Matt Di Angelo) is Jade's biological father, he realises that his daughter would be better off without him in her life.

However, Shirley (Linda Henry) is determined to gain custody of her grandchild despite some failed attempts, and a supportive Buster arranges for them to meet Jade's foster father, Jonathan.

When they meet with Jonathan, Shirley and Buster reveal that they want to get custody of Jade together and arrange to meet her later in the week.

Once she arrives back home, Shirley feels overwhelmed with guilt for going behind Dean's back, but is persuaded by Buster not to tell him the truth.

However, as her guilt rises, Shirley decides to come clean to Dean about Jade's visit, but a furious Dean tries to persuade them to cancel it.

Later, Shirley and Dean have a heart-to-heart and she tries to persuade him to step up and be a father figure to Jade.

Shirley's words appear to have had the desired effect when Dean arrives home and tells Shirley and a worried Buster that he has changed his mind and he now wants to meet his daughter.

A nervous Dean later meets his daughter for the first time, but will all go to plan?

Father's Day has arrived on Albert Square and Buster considers telling Dean the results of the DNA test. They discuss being a father and once Buster is satisfied that Dean has good intentions, he shares the news that the test has confirmed him as Jade's dad.

Later, Mick and Linda's homecoming is spoiled when Dean turns up. After Mick gives Dean his marching orders, Buster confronts his son about his temper and warns that social services will bring up his past if he tries to get custody of Jade. This makes Dean decide that Jade is better off without him, but Shirley decides that she's going to get her grandchild back on her own.

Meanwhile, Kush comes up with an idea to bring Shabnam and Masood back together. He enlists the help of Carmel and Stacey, but will it work?

Elsewhere, Carol arrives at the Beale house with Cindy and reveals the truth about her recent whereabouts. Ian is still adamant that Cindy is no longer welcome, so Jane asks Carol if she will let Cindy stay at the Butcher house as she can't face losing another daughter.

Also today, Martin speaks to Stacey about his feelings for her. They agree to take things slowly, so Stacey is shocked when he announces to Kush and Shabnam that they're officially a couple.

Finally, Vincent tries to win Patrick over.

Kush's 30th birthday has arrived, but he remains adamant that he can't celebrate due to Ramadan. Despite this, his friends ignore his wishes by dragging him over to The Vic. Shabnam is disappointed when Tamwar tells her what Kush is up to, but she is relieved when he stays loyal by returning home. In the end, Shabnam gives Kush her blessing to celebrate with his friends after all - but things become awkward when he ends up handcuffed to the Square's railings in his underwear.

At the same time, Martin questions Stacey's frosty behaviour towards him. Rather than open up over her illness, Stacey breaks things off between them. She then rescues Kush from his predicament, but as the sexual tension between them becomes apparent again, they are spotted by Nancy. Stacey tries to speak to Nancy but is left worried when Nancy threatens to tell Shabnam if she doesn't do it herself.

Meanwhile, Buster arranges for him and Shirley to meet Jade's foster father Jonathan. They explain that they want to go for custody together and arrange to meet Jade later in the week. Shirley feels that she is betraying Dean by going behind his back, but Buster suggests that she should keep him in the dark for now.

Elsewhere, Jane invites Cindy over for dinner but is crushed when she refuses to come.

Also today, Patrick warms slightly to Vincent and invites him to his birthday lunch. Soon afterwards, Vincent makes a suspicious phone call.

Stacey confronts Nancy again and protests that there is nothing going on between her and Kush. At the same time, Shabnam arrives at the community centre for today's Iftar drive but is disappointed to find that it's been trashed. She confronts three young girls about the incident.

Soon afterwards, when they both help with the clean-up operation, Nancy quizzes Kush about his feelings for Stacey. Kush opens up over his past with his wife and insists that he has no feelings for Stacey, but he does say that she made a move on him. Stacey is also honest with Nancy by admitting that there's a chemistry between her and Kush, but Nancy warns her to stay away.

As the day continues, Stacey warns Kush that he needs to decide who he wants to be with. While this is going on, Shabnam is confronted by the three girls from earlier and they attack her...

Meanwhile, Shirley comes clean to Dean about how Jade is paying a visit. Dean urges Shirley and Buster to cancel the arrangement, but Shirley stands firm and urges Dean to be a father figure to his daughter. Later, it seems that this has hit home as Dean tells Shirley and a worried Buster he wants to meet Jade.

Elsewhere, Liam gets suspicious when he sees Cindy in a new dress. He voices concerns to Carol about where it came from. Feeling guilty, Carol comes clean to Liam by revealing that Jane is paying them to look after Cindy. Liam worries about keeping this a secret from Cindy.

Also today, Patrick's suspicions over Vincent return when he sneaks a peek at a black hold-all that Vincent has in the house. Later at his birthday meal, Patrick confronts Vincent in front of Denise and Kim, revealing that he found money inside.

Following her attack, an injured Shabnam tries to make her way to the community centre - but she collapses in the park.

Meanwhile, a nervous Dean meets his daughter for the first time, but will it all go to plan?
