Recently the show have gone back to Williams though, which is why it's confusing. I thought the thread wasn't about Amy's son!

I watched Neighbours for a long time
when first shown in Uk- but then stopped
mainly due to changes in working hours-
but thinking of re-starting. So read this
thread with interest.

In UK where a child is born and the parents
are not married - the mother cannot name
the father on the birth cert. or give the child
the fathers surname without him being
present at the registration or having given
his permission.

I wondered what the position is under
Australian law and what happened in
this case.But sounds as tho might have
been "off-screen"!!
