The actor is fine. But if he was honest with himself he would not hide the fact he was with sean to his superiors

The actor was on today´s Good Morning Britain and said a figure from his past will arrive on Coronation Street soon ... guess that will be an ex and Sean will not be happy

The local vicar's backstory will be delved into for the first time.

Coronation Street's bosses are planning a big new storyline for local vicar Billy Mayhew.

The good-natured character is usually supporting everyone else through their dramas, but now it could finally be time to learn about his own past troubles.

Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Billy, dropped a few hints during an appearance on ITV's Good Morning Britain today (April 14) - revealing that the arrival of a new character will spark the storyline.

"We're going to start to learn a little more about Billy and his past and where he's from. We have a rather shady character arriving that's going to throw a fly into the ointment," Brocklebank explained in a chat live from the cobbles.

Asked whether this newcomer could drive a wedge between Billy and his boyfriend Sean Tully, he replied: "I couldn't possibly say. Of course I'm a man of the cloth so I have to keep my lips sealed!"

Coronation Street's cast and crew are also currently busy filming another big storyline - Carla Connor and Nick Tilsley's much-anticipated wedding.

The scenes will air in May and since they're building up to Alison King's departure from the role of Carla, we can't imagine the ceremony will end too well.

Brocklebank revealed: "As much fun as it is to shoot it, it is sad because we are going to be saying goodbye to Ali and she is beautiful.

"It was lovely because the way the schedules work here, sometimes you don't see each other for weeks if your storylines don't cross. So for all of us to be together under one roof, it's a nice day out."

I don't know why he is hiding this fact from everyone. He comes across all sorts of issues in his work.

Lee scrapes together change for a pint in the Rovers but is later caught trying to steal from Erica’s handbag. As things get nasty and Liz prepares to call the police, Billy intervenes and assures the locals he will handle Lee, whom he offers a room at the rectory.
Later Lee steals cash from the till at Preston’s Petals and Billy stops Todd calling the police, finally confessing how heroin addict Lee is his brother. Billy goes on to explain that both of their parents are dead and Billy is on the only one who can help.
