He does act normal around them especially Adam and Tracey

Was this storyline only decided last minute and not thought out and planned? I like Billy but this seems far out there throwing in this twist

When Susan died in a car crash noone said the other driver was at fault. it was assumed it was her wreckless driving. Billy would have been very young maybe a new driver, learner driver or unlicensed driver? If that is the story. Why does he steal money from Adams office? He is a vicar. Two wrongs do not make a right and it is out of character.

Because in soapland you can't just be a good and kindhearted soul .. got to have a flaw somewhere or a dark secret from years ago which suddenly makes you behave totally different to how they were before ....

Coronation Street fans have a new mystery to ponder after Daniel Brocklebank was spotted filming scenes in a wheelchair.

The actor, who plays vicar Billy Mayhew, was pictured shooting an emotional episode on location today (November 30) with co-stars Sue Cleaver and Matilda Freeman.

The scenes in question see Billy looking tearful when Eileen Grimshaw takes him for a meeting with Summer Spellman, the schoolgirl he's been hoping to formally adopt with his boyfriend Todd.

Billy is being reunited with Summer after some time apart, but the pressure clearly gets too much for him when they have to say goodbye again.

Corrie's latest paparazzi shots seem to suggest there'll be a shock accident on the way for Billy in the not-too-distant future.

Could Billy fall victim to the next Weatherfield stunt, or could someone from his shady past catch up with him? With little more known at the moment, it's really anyone's guess.

One thing we do know is that tabloid reports previously tipped Summer to leave with Todd when his final scenes air on Christmas Eve.

These pictures prove it won't be the last we see of Summer afterwards, but will Billy ever get her back full-time?

There are more agonising scenes ahead for Billy Mayhew in Coronation Street as his life hits rock bottom following a terrible injury. Recent pictures previously confirmed that Billy would be left in a wheelchair as he said a painful goodbye to Summer. And things aren’t set to get much better for the troubled vicar.
Dan Brocklebank was pictured filming scenes on crutches and Billy looks dishevelled and traumatised after everything that has befallen him. Currently on screen we are seeing him battle with the guilt around the fact he was involved in Susan Barlow’s death all of those years ago.
And that secret looks set to be the catalyst for his downfall as the Barlow family may well discover the truth. We can’t reveal what happens to Billy to leave him injured and alone but 2018 starts off in a terrible way for him.
These new scenes see him come face to face with his drug addict brother Lee as they meet up by a church – but is Billy reaching out to Lee for some help and support or could Lee exploit his brother’s condition and fractured emotional state?
Surely Billy isn’t about to make the devastating mistake of becoming embroiled in drugs?
Richard Crehan has reprised his role as heroin addict Lee for the storyline, having first appeared on the show some time ago to cause trouble for Billy. During his first stint, his need for cash led to him taking a scared Sarah Platt hostage, leaving Billy ashamed of his sibling.
But now the shoe could very much be on the other foot as Billy needs all of the help that he can get.
By this stage, both Todd and Summer will be gone and things are weighing heavily on Billy. Could Lee turn his life around or make it worse?
The scenes will air on our screens early next year.

Billy Mayhew's conscience gets the better of him yet again this week, just when he thinks that he's a goner. The local vicar attends court with Peter Barlow and manages to get himself off the hook for punching the Rovers boss a few weeks ago. With all forgiven and forgotten, the neighbours leave the court building together and intervene when they spot two other men fighting outside.

It's only when Billy and Peter are travelling home together that there's a shocking discovery for the pair, as a metal lucky charm has embedded itself into Billy's thigh after the altercation and he's bleeding profusely.

Although Peter stops the car and frantically tries to stop the bleeding, Billy fears it's the end for him and finally confesses all about how he was involved in the death of Susan Barlow.

Billy may think that he's making things right before he dies, but in reality, he's going nowhere and he'll have to deal with the consequences of his revelation in a dramatic Christmas Day storyline…
