Holby: The King's Crossing


With an accident on the Emergency Department doorstep resulting in the hospital needing to operate on a generator, it’s a challenging shift for the medical team at Holby City Hospital.

Cal receives a phone call from a distressed Taylor and finds her in a park toilet with a knife in her leg. As he attempts to treat her, she calls on his brother Ethan for assistance, resulting in Taylor being arrested.

Lofty wants to put Robyn off him and turns to Max for advice, but he doesn’t succeed - she’s smitten.

Following the death of Alfred, Rita finds something suspicious in his bloods. Connie’s heroic day comes to an unexpected end as she’s arrested on suspicion of the murder of Alfred.

Casualty airs a big episode for Connie Beauchamp this weekend as she is arrested on suspicion of murder.

Connie (Amanda Mealing) and her colleagues are left stunned as the police arrive at the hospital and force her to come down to the station for some tough questioning.

The shock moment comes after Connie's friend Alfred Maxwell, who has motor neurone disease, is brought back into the ED with pneumonia and subsequently passes away.

Most of the team have sympathy for Connie as they know about her close bond with Alfred, but Rita Freeman (Chloe Howman) can't help feeling suspicious as she knows that Connie ordered for Alfred's bloods to be binned shortly before his death.

Rita becomes suspicious

When Rita investigates further, she discovers that Connie had been with Alfred the night before and further tests reveal that a surprising drug was in his system.

Rita starts to suspect that this is a case of euthanasia, but when the police do arrive, was she the one who made the call to report it? And has Connie really followed through with Alfred's request to help him die?
