    Hour-long episode

Steve is thrown when Michelle mentions a long engagement. He worries that she doesn't really want to marry him and only agreed out of pity. When Michelle then adds that there is no rush to buy an engagement ring, not wanting to pressurise Steve, his doubts multiply. Convinced that his illness makes him a burden to Michelle, Steve calls off the engagement.

Michelle decides to fight for Steve and sets about preparing a surprise for him. Lloyd steers Steve back to The Rovers to face Michelle, where he finds the back room romantically decorated with candles. Michelle follows him into the bar and Billy's charity butler auction grinds to a halt as she passionately professes her love for Steve. When Michelle gets down on one knee and proposes, will Steve accept?

Meanwhile, Nick prepares to drive Bethany to the airport. Determined to miss the flight, Bethany throws away his car keys and runs off. Todd finds Bethany hiding in Barlow's Buys and hands her over to Nick. Nick is weary as Bethany defiantly insists that he cannot force her to board a plane. Chaos reigns at Number 8 as Gail phones to tell furious Sarah that Bethany missed her flight. At the same time, David is downcast as Max gets excited about spending the day with Callum.

Elsewhere, Faye is set on giving birth in the shop flat and wants Craig to take the baby to hospital afterwards. But as Craig sets out on a practice run of his journey, will they realise the dangers of this plan?

Also today, Billy's auction night at The Rovers proves to be a success. On a high, Billy suggests that he could spend the night at Sean's.

Finally, Todd mischievously informs Tracy that Tony has sold Jason's house and may be keen to invest in expanding the business. Tracy gets dolled up and summons Tony to the closed shop. After they sleep together again, Tracy drops hints to Tony about expanding. Will Tony see through her tactics?

Sarah continues to tear a strip off Bethany, furious at her behaviour in Milan. An unrepentant Bethany picks up an ornament and hurls it at Sarah. Gail, Michael, Audrey and David watch open-mouthed as the argument escalates.

Later, Jason finds tearful Bethany on Maxine's bench. Bethany moans about her life in Milan and how Sarah ignores her most of the time. When Sarah finds Bethany upset, they finally have a heart to heart. Bethany begs Sarah to let them stay in Weatherfield, adamant that she doesn't want to return to Milan. Realising how unhappy Bethany is, will Sarah agree they can stay?

Meanwhile, furious with Tony for lending Steve the money behind her back, Tracy threatens to reveal their affair. Desperate to keep her quiet, Tony explains to Liz and Michelle how Tracy had hoped he would put the money into their business and he has let her down. Cornering Tracy in the Rovers backyard, Tony apologises but Tracy is unforgiving and stalks off. Calling at Number 1, Tony begs for Tracy's forgiveness, suggesting they have a weekend away in a hotel of her choice. Can Tony win Tracy back round?

Owen is thrilled when he lands a building job. Anna offers to cook a special meal to celebrate, but Owen suggests an early night. Anna recoils, clearly still awkward around Owen, and insists they go for a drink instead.

At the same time, Craig and Faye hide out in the corner shop flat. Craig plucks up the courage to tell Faye that her crazy plan regarding the baby is never going to work. However, he is thwarted when she clutches her tummy and tells him the baby is coming...

Meanwhile, Callum calls at Number 8 with a game for Max. David is cool towards him and Sarah guesses that he is Max's dad. Later, Sarah takes Bethany shopping in town. Recognising the girls from earlier, Callum approaches them. Sarah is curt but Bethany lets slip that David is her uncle. As Sarah waits outside a boutique for Bethany, she is startled when the rebellious teen flies out of the door chased by security, having been caught shoplifting. Callum advises Sarah not to go after her and insists she gets in his car.

Elsewhere, Carla arrives back from LA and surprises Tracy with a gift from her trip. Jealous of Carla's success, Tracy resolves to improve her own business. Later, dressed to kill, Tracy calls in The Rovers and winds Tony up, making out that she is going to meet a new supplier and she doesn't need him. Tony is put out.

Faye is scared witless as she goes into labour. Craig is desperate to call an ambulance, but Faye bans him from doing so. As Sally and Tim sit with Anna and Owen in The Rovers, a frightened Faye realises she is out of her depth and screams at Craig to find her mum.

As Craig searches in vain for Anna, Sophie finds the flat door open and makes her way up the stairs. Sophie is horrified to find Faye in pain. As Owen and Anna head home, a clearly-distressed Craig approaches and drags them to the corner shop flat. Owen and Anna are shocked to the core to find Faye giving birth. Sophie assures them that she has called an ambulance.

Meanwhile, Callum pulls up next to Bethany, and Sarah orders her into the car. They speed away, leaving the angry shop assistant empty-handed. Sarah rebukes Bethany for shoplifting but Bethany remains unfazed. Dropping them back at Number 8, Callum invites Sarah out for a drink. Furious to see Callum chatting up his sister, David warns Sarah to stay away from Callum. But will Sarah heed his warning?

Elsewhere, Carla tries to thrash out a business deal with Mr Hanlon in the Bistro. However, when Mr Hanlon complains about his food and admits that he is just trying to get a freebie, Carla tells him to stick his deal and stalks out. Later, Carla is taken aback when she gets a call from Mr Hanlon to tell her how impressed he is by her no-nonsense approach. Has she got herself a deal?

Also, Tracy bluffs to Tony, telling him how well her meeting went with the new supplier. Tony is sceptical and accuses Tracy of making the whole thing up. He then tells her she's right - it's over between them. Tracy is speechless.

Faye is scared and wracked with pain. Anna does her best to take control and assures Faye that she loves her no matter what. Owen then breaks the news to a gobsmacked Tim and Sally that Faye is having a baby. As Anna, Sophie and Sally fuss round an exhausted Faye, Tim tries to reassure her.

With Faye in the ambulance, Anna turns on Craig, but Faye reveals that she swore Craig to secrecy and tells Anna to leave him alone. Upset, Craig heads home where he tells Beth and Kirk about Faye, insisting that the baby isn't his. At the hospital, Anna berates herself for failing to realise that Faye was pregnant. Also, disappointed to find Liz asleep on the sofa, Tony phones Tracy with a grovelling apology. Tracy is thrilled to realise he is still well and truly hooked. Dressed sexily, Tracy opens the door to Tony. Will she take him back with open arms?

Tracy is furious when she discovers that Tony has paid off Steve’s tax bill, threatening to reveal their affair. She tells Tony that their fling is over and sets about trying to make him jealous. apart, but he soon comes calling and begs for another chance. As Nick prepares to drive Bethany to the airport, she ensures that she misses her flight by hiding his car keys. Sarah arrives in Weatherfield and furiously reveals the real reason behind
Bethany’s return. The rest of the family are shocked by the hostility between the pair. Bethany reveals how unhappy she is in Milan and begs Sarah to let them stay in Weatherfield. Callum soon shows an interest in Sarah and helps the mother and daughter escape when Bethany is caught shoplifting. David tries his best to warn Sarah off Callum. Craig tries to convince Faye that her plan to give birth in the shop flat is dangerous, but she refuses to back down. Tim and Sally suspect that something is going on but Craig remains loyal and assures them that he and Faye are just friends. As they hide out in the shop flat, Faye goes into early labour and soon realises that she needs Anna. Craig manages to get hold of Anna and Owen, who are astonished to find Sophie helping Faye cope with labour pains. The shocked family manage to get Faye to hospital, where she gives birth to a baby girl. Sean and Billy successfully host the butler auction at the Rovers and finally spend the night together. Sally takes up her role as Norris’s butler for the day, but soon tires of being treated like a slave. Carla returns from LA and
gets back to business. A romantic spark is apparent between Carla and Nick as he helps her with her laptop.

What role will they find for Erika then if he pairs up with Carla. Nick seems to be his old self now. Nasty Nick has disappeared.

It's nice to see that Tim looks like a proud granddaddy in the above picture and Anna doesn't look that unhappy either. I know it's not ideal for a 13 year old to become a mother, but as a fait accompli it needs to be made the best of.

Faye looks none too happy though - I wonder if it's because of what Anna's saying or just that she doesn't want the baby?

It will probably end up in the care system if Toma and Sally don't take it on. Maybe Sophie says she wants it and Maddoe leaves

You can't be throwing around a baby like an abandoned puppy! 'If she doesn't like IT, then she can give IT to them, if they don't want to take IT, maybe she's willing to look after IT'. Sounds terrible.

I do agree Mariba. But soaps go for sensationalism
    rather than realism.
Faye has had a bad start in life so cant relate
to people as other girls her age would.
And being pregnant at 12 is a very difficult
    situation.

    Then Anna veers from screeching&
    shouting to smothering and "slobbering"**
over Faye . How she passed the fostering/
adoption process is beyond me. I understood
that people who had known the adopter/s
    for years were interviewed. !!

I think that Sally &Tim are the babys( andFayes)
    best chance
The actress playing Anna has given an interview
( reported.on here) where she as a "real" mother
knows just how to behave in this situation!!!!!

I just wish Sws would think more carefully
if they persist in showing sub-teen pregnancies
( when they are diminishing) and fostering/
adoption which is much needed especially
for older children . There will be problems
    but thats all they show.
However Mr Blackburn has promised that it
will all be all right in a years time!!!

**Im sorry to use such an unpleasant word-
but Anna is prone to extremes of behaviour
and a someone with Fayes background needs
stability.I think her next move is to show
    Faye up at school!!
