So they`re still trying to turn Andy into a hero. Sorry, but it won`t work with me....it`s his fault that Casey died no matter how much the writers try to redeem him. Brax may have forgiven Andy - but I haven`t.

Three Home and Away characters will be severely impacted in the aftermath of the shocking bus accident, it has been confirmed.

Hannah Wilson, Kyle Braxton and Leah Patterson-Baker suffer the most serious injuries after being pulled from the wreckage of the bus.

Although the crash hasn't yet aired in the UK, Australian fans have been waiting to see the aftermath of the crash for several weeks after the dramatic scenes played out as part of their series finale.

While most of the crash victims manage to escape relatively unharmed, it soon becomes clear that Hannah (Cassie Howarth) is in a very bad way, having been impaled by one of the metal seats.

After being rushed into hospital, Hannah is sent straight into surgery, but is soon faced with the devastating reality that she may never walk again.

Howarth said to TV Week: "One of the metal legs on the bus seats gets jammed in her spine. Hannah is fighting for her life. It's touch and go whether she will survive."

"The whole thing is horrific for Hannah. It's that inconceivable idea of firstly, will she survive? Then, will she be able to walk?

"It is hard for her to hang on to hope. Hannah knows what it means to be injured. So, no matter how much Nate assures her she will heal, she knows the facts."

Along with Hannah, Kyle and Leah will also be left facing life-changing injuries following the accident. After being taken to hospital, their families face an agonising wait to see whether or not they pull through.

While Kyle is placed in a coma to help him recover from his injuries, Leah's family are forced to face the reality that she may never wake up.

Home and Away airs these scenes next week in Australia and in a few weeks' time for UK viewers.

    Race against time
Can Brax and Dr Nate save the bus crash victims?

Three Summer Bay favourites are left fighting for their lives following the devastating bus disaster in last year's finale.

This sickening crash will change lives forever and leave a community reeling.

As a result of the accident, one person is left trapped, one is impaled on the wreckage, while another lies in a coma from which she may never wake.

Now, it's a race to rescue the victims before it's too late.

    The aftermath
In the chilling opening moments of this year's season of Home & Away, the bus lies overturned. Everything is quiet. Dead quiet. Then the nightmare begins.

There were seven people aboard the bus when it crashed. Ricky (Bonnie Sveen), Sasha (Demi Harman), Denny (Jessica Grace Smith), Evie (Philippa Northeast), Kyle (Nic Westaway), Leah (Ada Nicodemou) and Hannah (Cassie Howarth) were all on their way to the city to support Phoebe (Isabella Giovinazzo) at her big music launch.

Nate (Kyle Pryor) and Sophie (Bridgette Sneddon), who were in the car that caused the bus crash, have survived. As have Brax (Stephen Peacocke) and Josh (Jackson Gallagher), who were in another car.

"Nate and Brax are shaken up but they're in good enough health to help people in the bus," Kyle, 31, says.

Now, Brax and the dic have to save those in the bus. Hearts in months, adrenalin charging through their veins, they're not sure what they'll find when they get there.

"Initially, as a doctor, Nate is planning for the worst but hoping for the best," Kyle says.

"He goes to the back for the bus with the hope of ushering everyone out who is in good enough health. Then he starts assessing who needs treatment first."

    What does he find?

"There are some unpleasant findings," Kyle says of the situation.

    Is Ricky alive?
For Brax, his biggest concern is his beloved Ricky. The worried River Boy runs to the bus, calling Ricky's name. Not only does he have her on his mind but also the fate of his unborn baby.

Brax launches on to the bus and lowers himself in. Then he sees her.

"Ricky is OK," Kyle assures. Yet she's concerned about her baby, which she won't be able to find out about until she gets to a hospital.

    A death on the bus
Sasha is calling for Nate. The doctor negotiates his way through the twisted wreckage of the bus until he finds her.

Poor Sasha has blood all over her and she's with the driver who is suffering from a terrible injury.

Has she been hurt in the crash, too?

Sasha is distraught and desperately tries to stop the driver from losing too much blood.

When Nate checks his pulse, he urges her to leave the driver as there is nothing more they can do for him. Sasha is traumatised. Will she be alright?

    Hannah's terrible injury
Soon Nate finds out both Denny and Evie are fine. Unfortunately, Hannah is in terrible shape. She has been impaled by part of the wreckage.

"One of the metal legs on the seats on the bus gets jammed in her spine," Cassie, 29, says.

"Hannah's fightening for her life. It's touch and go whether she'll survive."

Hannah, in immense pain, drifts in and out of consciousness as the paramedics treat her injury.

Having done their best, Hannah is taken to hospital. This is where her real battle begins.

Hannah goes striaght into surgery, after which her doctor, Nate, gives her some shocking news. Two of Hannah's vertebrae were crushed in the crash. The outcome is Hannah may never walk again.

"The whole thing is horrific for Hannah," Cassie says. "It's that unconceivable idea of firstly, will she survive? Then, will she be able to walk?

"It's hard for her to hang on to hope."

Also because Hannah is a nurse, she has some understanding of spinal injuries and she knows the realities of recovery.

"Hannah knows what it means to be injured," Cassie says. "So, no matter how much Nate assures her she will heal, she knows the facts."

    Will Hannah ever walk again?

    Kyle flatlines
Back at the bus, Brax is frantically searching for Kyle. He eventually discovers him trapped under the bus.

Brax makes an attempt to try and free Kyle but Nate freaks out and tells him to stop. Releasing pressure on Kyle's body might cause damage. It may even kill him.

They need to wait for the proper lifting equipment to arrive to remove Kyle from the wreckage.

"Kyle's in a bad way," Nic, 26, says.

As they wait for the equipment to arrive, Nate tells Brax to prepare for the possibility Kyle may not make it out of this alive.

Kyle, who is conscious, thinks he's about to die. He tells Brax to look after Phoebe for him. Suddenly, Kyle flatlines.

"His whole system goes into shock and starts to shut down," Nic says.

There is a mad scramble to bring Kyle back from the jaws of death and haul him out of the wreckage.

"Kyle actually dies and they have to resuscitate him, Nic says.

Kyle is rushed to hospital. He's place in an induced coma to help let his body recover. He's alive, yes but Kyle is far from in the clear.

    Where is Leah?
Denny assumes Leah must have gone to the hospital. No-one has noticed Leah's body lying near the crash site, hidded in some bushes.

When Nate and the SES eventually find her, she's unconscious. At the hospital, Nate tells Zac (Charlie Clausen) and VJ (Matt Little) the bad news: Leah has suffered bleeding on the brain.

Worse, she's in a coma from which she may never wake.

    Guilt trip
As the hospital begins to fill with injured people, news of the crash spreads.

"The whole town is in shock about the crash," Cassie says.

Nate, meantime, is wracked with an overwhelming sense of guilt over what has happened to poor Hannah.

"He has to 'fess up and say, I'm really sorry' to her," kyle reveals. "It's such a difficult situation."

If Nate is feeling bad, Sophie is feeling worse. She wanders through the hospital crying as she watches the devastation her actions have caused.

After all, she was the one who grabbed the wheel of the car. This caused the car to swerve and ultimately forced the bus of the road.

Nate thinks he should've done more to prevent what she did. He knew she was "on edge" and while he couldn't have predicted what happened, is still dealing with a bus-load of guilt.

Later, Sophie asks Nate to meet her at the beach. She has something to tell him.

What will she say to Nate? Is she about to hand herself in to police or will she go on the run?

If, she does leave, does it mean things are really over between Nate and Sophie once and for all?

"Despite everything, they really do care about each other," Kyle says.

They just bring out sides of each other which are really unhealthy."

    Maddy is found
Away from the crash, Maddy (Kassandra Clementi) is on the run. She hasn't made contact with anyone since she fled her chemotherapy at the hospital.

Spencer (Andrew Morley) manages to get through to Maddy on the phone but when he tries to convince her to come home, she won't have a bar of it. She's "where she needs to be", she tells him from a noisy city street.

It's up to Oscar (Jake Speer) to find her in the city.

    "No-one knows where she is," Jake 22, says. "It's a needle-in-the-haystack scenario."

Oscar is armed with Maddy's scrapbook. It's this which eventually helps him track her down.

"The scrapbook is the only clue he's got," Jake says. "It turns out to be a visual bucket list of tihngs she wants to do before she dies."

Now, he's found her, can Oscar convince Maddy to come home?

    Troube for Brax
He may have helped rescue the victims of the bus crash but things take an odd turn for Brax this week.

It seems the police have taken a keen interest in Brax. His bad boy days are behind him. So, what could it be that Brax has done this time? How will Ricky react when she finds out Brax might be in deep trouble... again?

    Summer Bay secrets
It promises to be one of the show's biggest years ever and we uncover some of the juiciset home truths for 2015!

One of our favourite couples will split in Home & Away this year. It's not all bad news, with some sexy romances on the cards and two memorable wedding proposals.

How's the rest of 2015 shaping up in Summer Bay? Series producer Lucy Addario gives us the juicy details...

Phoebe's music launch didn't go as planned. Is it the end of her career?
Things definitely didn't go as planned for Phoebe's (Isabella Giovinazzo) launch. She'll have to think long and hard about what she wants to do. More importantly, she has to get to the bottom of how it unravelled in the first place.

What can viewers expect from Pia Miller's character, Katrina Chapman?
It's initially unclear why she has come to Summer Bay but like many other rivals before her, there's a darker story behind her. She'll definitely turn some heads and there's sure to be romance.

Will we meet more new characters this year?
Yes, new faces will stir things up for the residents of Summer Bay!

    What's next for Brax?
Brax (Stephen Peacocke) faces more tragedy after losing his brother, Casey (Lincoln Younes), with two loved one on the bus.

In 2014, H&A took a trip to London and White Cliffs in the bush. Is the show packing it's bags for anywhere this year?
If there's a story to tell in another place then we'll take it there, whether it's interstate or overseas.

We saw Ash looking for his sister. Will he go looking for her again?
Ash (George Mason) is determined to find Billie, the only family he has.

Is there a chance he'll find love?
There's sure to be some romance for Ash. In typical Summer Bay style, it won't be easy and things will get in the way.

    What about break-ups?
It wouldn't be Summer Bay without some heartache! One of our favourite couples will split up but there will be some hot new couples, too!

Sadly, we farewelled Casey in 2014. Can we expect any more tragic farewells?
There will be some close calls...

With both Casey and Heath gone, is it the end for the River Boys?
With the arrival of Ash as Brax's mate, there is a new and exciting chapter to the River Boys. Even though they're not blood, Brax considers him family. We also can't forget Kyle (Nic Westaway) who - even though he wasn't one of the original River Boys - audiences will see really step up. He'll become an authoritative figure as more responsibility falls on his shoulders.

We know Demi Harman is leaving. What happens in her last episodes?
Sasha will be put in a difficult situation where she has to weigh up her future and her relationship with Matt (Alec Snow).

Wow! Hopw will Matt cope withoug her?
It will be a testing time. Here's hoping Matt won't return to his old ways...

We love Marilyn and John's wedding. What can fans expect from these two?
Viewers can expects hilarious scenes between John (Shane Withington) and Marilyn (Emily Symons) as they navigate their way through married life. Never a dull moment in the Palmer house!

Will Jett keep them busy this year?
Jett (Will McDonald) will face some of his own challenges this year. As last he finally has a fmaily of his own, which I'm sure audiences were so happy to see.

Will we see another wedding this year?
There are two proposals I know of. We love a wedding in Home & Away, so there's bound to be one for 2015.

    What about characters' health issues?
The aftermath of the bus crash will affect the health and livelihood of serveral characters. We'll also see Maddy's (Kassandra Clementi) battle with ovarian cancer and her own personal struggles with having chemo.

I agree with you SoapsJSK & TaintedLove about Andy. First he got to stay in Casey's old room & now the latest spoilers (Feb 16-19) say he will be back living at the farmhouse! So much for there being consequences for your actions. I suppose they will show that Hannah wil now see Andy as a more mature man when he looks after her while she is in the wheelchair & she will end up back with him (I am still holding on to the hope that she will eventually find out that he murdered Jake). It says that Denny will hide her feelings about sharing the house with Andy, for Hannah's sake. I hope though that she "maintains the rage" & her mistrust of Andy (even if she has to keep it to herself), & doesn't just fall into line & eventually believe that he is a great bloke like everyone else seems to think now.

    SPOILER ALERT!!, SPOILER ALERT!!

It seems that in Andy's next step to "sainthood" soon he will also save Hannah from drowning! I have seen some photos posted on Instagram/the Net from someone who saw filming at Palm Beach of Andy carrying a fully clothed Hannah out of the water (both of them soaked of course). The story with the photos suggested that someone takes her out on a boat (I hope it is not Denny!) & the boat capsizes. Because she still can't use her legs at this stage, she can't swim & starts to drown. Andy then saves her & brings her to shore.

There are also photos of Hannah & Andy happily together "frolicking" at the beach & also her walking at an ANZAC Day service, so she mustn't be in the wheelchair for too long.
