Tony don't seem like a fella who likes to share and confide so doubt myself he will confess to Michelle and if he does your are right she should tell Liz and Steve after all the grief she did give Steve over Peter and Tina's affair

Coronation Street Round-up


Worried that Tracy is under too much strain, Ken offers to run the shop for her. When Tony catches her buying a load of stolen gear from a dodgy punter, he warns her that the police are on the case, but when Tracy demands her money back, the thug threatens her and she is only saved by Tony’s arrival. Then the shop is trashed and Tony sees his opportunity to buy into the business. Has Tracy bitten off more than she can chew – and what is Tony up to exactly? Leanne is puzzled by Gavin’s
reluctance to talk about his old boss and Steph is further bemused when the real Gavin’s ex-girlfriend Lisa arrives at the Bistro. Julie and Mary continue to clash over the twins. Mary pleads with Dev to put his foot down about the kids’ routine but she feels more and more sidelined. Gail is shocked when Michael goes down on one knee and asks her to marry him and over breakfast they barely know what to say to each other. Audrey urges her daughter to seize the opportunity with both hands, but when Gail takes her advice the engagement party goes horribly wrong and Michael is rushed to hospital. Lisa tells Luke, Leanne and Steph that Gavin is a lying, cheating scumbag. Gavin tries to convince Steph that he has changed, but then gives her the shock of her life.

Over on Coronation Street, the impostor pretending to be Michael Rodwell's son Gavin is left in a panic when his secret comes under serious threat.

'Fake Gavin' is actually Andy, a friend of the real Gavin Rodwell who has decided to steal his identity.

Although Andy (Oliver Farnworth) already knows that his deception has gone too far, he is reluctant to leave his new life in Weatherfield as he is enjoying his job at the Bistro and potential romance with Steph Britton.

Scenes airing later this month see Steph (Tisha Merry) confide in Leanne about 'Gavin', admitting that she is disappointed as he has barely spoken to her since their New Year's Eve kiss.

Steph is given further food for thought when Lisa - the ex-girlfriend of the real Gavin - calls in at the Bistro looking for him.

As 'Fake Gavin' hides behind the bar to avoid being caught out, Lisa rants to Steph, Leanne and Luke about how Gavin is a "cheating, two-timing scumbag".

Now being blamed for the misdemeanours of the man he is impersonating, Gavin later tries desperately to salvage things with Steph by insisting that he has changed his ways.

Protective Luke warns 'Gavin' to stay away from his sister, but the charmer won't give up and tells Steph that he's crazy about her. Will Steph be talked round?

Monday

Worried about Tracy and the strain she is under, Ken offers to run the shop for her, suggesting she takes some time off. Tracy gratefully accepts.

When Ken confides in Roy about how concerned he is for Tracy and how he reckons her business is about to go under, Tony listens intrigued. When he then witnesses Tracy unwittingly buying a load of stolen gear from a dodgy punter, Tony warns her that the gear she bought is hot and the police are all over it. But as Tracy demands her money back, will the thug turn nasty?

Meanwhile, Leanne tries to chat to 'Gavin' about his old boss, but he quickly makes himself scarce leaving Leanne bemused. Steph moans to Leanne that since snogging her on New Year's Eve, Gavin has barely spoken to her. Steph is further bemused when the real Gavin's ex girlfriend Lisa calls in the Bistro looking for him. Panicking, 'Fake Gavin' hides behind the bar…

Elsewhere, as Mary prepares the twins' breakfast, she is put out when giggly Julie and Dev arrive downstairs clearly loved up. As Mary settles the twins down to do their homework, they're interrupted when Julie arrives with a board game, suggesting they leave their homework and have some fun. How will Mary react?

Also, Maria invites Luke to stay the night as Liam is at a sleepover. Luke suggests dinner at the Bistro and Maria is delighted.


Monday (2)

As the thug tightens his grip on Tracy, Tony enters the shop and the man is momentarily distracted. Tracy takes the opportunity to knee him in the groin and help herself to the cash in his wallet.

The thug leaves and Tony warns Tracy that she is playing a dangerous game, but she remains undeterred. However, when we later see Tony meeting up with the thug, it looks like Tracy may have bitten off more than she can chew this time!

Meanwhile, having encouraged 'Gavin' to tell Steph how he really feels, Michael decides it's time he expressed his true feelings for Gail. Heading home, Michael plucks up the courage. Getting down on one knee, he proposes to Gail. Taken aback, how will Gail respond?

At the same time, when Lisa tells Leanne, Luke and Steph that Gavin is a "cheating, two-timing scumbag", Steph covers for 'Gavin', telling Lisa that he left the job and they haven't seen him since. Lisa leaves and sheepish 'Gavin' emerges. 'Gavin' tries to convince Steph that he is a changed man, but Luke warns him to stay away from his sister. After a chat with Michael, Gavin opens up to Steph and tells her how much he cares about her and how he can't stop thinking about her. How will she respond?

Elsewhere, Mary urges Dev to talk to Julie as she is ruining the kids' routine. Julie is oblivious. Dev explains to Mary how Julie means well and just wants the kids to like her. He implores Mary to go easy on her.

Also, Luke is disappointed when Maria cancels their date because of baby-sitting problems. When Eva tells Jason that she has arranged to meet an old mate for the evening, Todd is suspicious.


Wednesday

Over breakfast, neither Gail nor Michael know what to say to each other. Gail confides in Audrey about how Michael proposed but she was too shocked to give him an answer. Audrey urges Gail to grab happiness while she can and suggests she throw a surprise engagement party in the Bistro.

Worried that Gail is going to dump him, Michael nervously enters the Bistro to find Gail, Audrey, David, Nick, 'Gavin', Steph and Leanne waiting. How will he react to Gail's proposal?

Meanwhile, as Todd goes to open the shop, he discovers they've had a break-in and all the stock has been trashed. Playing the concerned friend, Tony offers his sympathy. Tracy is gutted to discover that Barlow's Buys is uninsured and she won't receive a penny. Tony suggests to Tracy that she could save her business by allowing him to become a partner. Will Tracy be forced to agree?

Elsewhere, Asha and Aadi celebrate their 10th birthday. Mary refuses to join Dev and Julie as they take the twins out for a treat. Worried that Mary is feeling pushed out, Dev and Julie later call at the motorhome with the twins.

Also today, Alya is excited when she takes a call confirming that Carla has won Greater Manchester Businesswoman of the Year. Sally points out that Carla hates that sort of thing and as Carla arrives back from LA, she gleefully tells her how Alya has messed up.

Finally, Steph and 'Gavin' arrive for work loved-up after spending the night together, while Maria suggests to Luke that it's time he met Liam.


Friday

Having collapsed at the Bistro, Michael wakes up in hospital. Gail explains that they're waiting for his test results. Steph goes looking for 'Gavin' at his flat. Realising 'Gavin' is at home but refusing to answer the door, Steph shouts through the letterbox that she is not leaving until he lets her in.

'Gavin' finally opens up and admits that he was planning to do a runner. Showing Steph his passport, Gavin tells her that he's not who he said he was!

Later, the doctor comes with news of Michael's test results.

Meanwhile, Tony admits to Michelle that he's gone into business with Tracy and has yet to tell Liz.

Elsewhere, Yasmeen informs Roy that she'll be supervising his community service, as he'll be working at the Community Centre. Anna is scathing and accuses Yasmeen of siding with Roy over Gary. Yasmeen is quick to put Anna in her place.

Also, Luke is nervous as he prepares for his outing with Maria and Liam.

Finally, Roy gives Carla a pep talk about Manchester Businesswoman of the Year, pointing out that it's an accolade and she should accept it with pride. Will Carla change her mind about the awards?


Friday (2)

Michael and Gail are shocked to hear that he needs an urgent heart operation. At the same time, Steph is dumbfounded as 'Gavin' explains that he is Andy, a friend of the real Gavin Rodwell. Andy tells Steph that he never intended to hurt anyone - it was simply a joke that spiralled out of control.

Steph is adamant that he must tell Michael the truth, but when she hears that Michael needs open heart surgery and any stress could kill him, she rushes to Number 8 and drags Andy into the garden, explaining that he mustn't tell Michael the truth as the shock could kill him. Realising they're keeping something from him, Michael demands answers!

Meanwhile, Liz and Steve return from Spain. Steve remains as depressed as ever and Liz confides in Tony that she has secretly booked him a doctor's appointment. At the same time, after a pleasant evening with Hamish, Michelle invites him back to Carla's flat.

Elsewhere, awash with guilt, Roy tells Carla how his community service isn't adequate punishment. Carla reckons he's being too harsh on himself.

Also, in an attempt to buy his approval, Luke presents Liam with a new football. Liam is underwhelmed and when he falls over and hurts himself during a kick-about, it brings the evening to a swift end. Luke is left disappointed.
