Meanwhile, new EastEnders pictures show Linda Carter's mother Elaine Peacock desperately try to help her when she arrives in Walford later this month.

Linda (Kellie Bright) will face the toughest time of her life after being raped by brother-in-law Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) and her distant behaviour will begin to concern her family.

Elaine arrives at The Vic after Linda's partner Mick (Danny Dyer) makes a desperate phone call to her, urging her to pay a visit.

In an attempt to lift her daughter's spirits, Elaine immediately goes to Linda's room and encourages her to get dressed up and go down to the bar.

After suggesting Linda can't cope with the pub, Elaine jumps to further conclusions and assumes that there is something wrong with her and Mick.

As Elaine starts to reveal some of her own secrets to her daughter, it all gets too much for Linda and she breaks down in her mother's arms. Will she be able to tell her the truth?

EastEnders bosses announced last month that Maria Friedman had been cast in the role of Elaine for a short guest stint.

Speaking about the role, Friedman said: "I am thrilled to be joining the cast of EastEnders to play Elaine Peacock. Working alongside Kellie Bright and the rest of the Carter clan has been an absolute joy."

EastEnders airs these scenes in the week commencing Monday, October 13 on BBC One.

    Monday

As Nancy's 21st birthday arrives, a fragile Linda tries her best to stay strong and organises a small family tea. However, Nancy ignores Linda's wishes for the event to be family only and invites some of her friends over. This leaves Linda fearful that Dean will turn up.

Later, Lee is furious when he hears Dexter talking about Linda's Page 3 modelling days. As tensions rise, Mick and Stan bring in the birthday cake along with some flowers - but Linda is dealing with terrible memories and finally snaps, screaming at everybody to get out.

Meanwhile, Ian tells Emma that he no longer wants her help, as he now knows the truth about her relationship with Max. Later, Emma breaks down when Keeble is waiting for her at the police station, explaining that her job means everything to her.

Elsewhere, Mick lets slip to Peter that he covered for Ian over Rainie because the timing would have looked bad. When Peter confronts Ian, he finally realises that his father was with Rainie on the night of Lucy's death. Later, Max persuades Peter to meet Ian at the funeral home so they can both view Lucy's headstone. Will Peter forgive Ian?

Also today, Charlie helps Ronnie to clear things out of the house as she makes room for the baby. It's clear there is still chemistry between the pair.

    Tuesday

It's the day of Nancy's musical bingo night at the pub, but the Carters are preoccupied with concern for Linda. Mick makes a call to someone asking for their help, but who does he trust to get to the bottom of the situation?

Meanwhile, Roxy asks Aleks to move in with her when they return from their holiday. Unfortunately, Aleks is distracted by a text on his phone. When Aleks rushes off to work, he is confronted by his wife Marta and daughter Ineta. Aleks instructs Tamwar to take Ineta to the café so that he can speak to Marta alone, but he ends up sharing a moment of passion with his wife in the office. Later, as Ineta and Marta head off in a taxi, Aleks promises to meet them at their B&B. He packs his bags and posts his key through the letterbox, but where will he go?

Elsewhere, Max refuses to explain himself to Lauren and Abi now that his fling with Emma has been revealed. When it seems that Max could actually love Emma, Lauren encourages him to tell her how he feels. Later, it seems that Emma doesn't want things to be over, but as Max leans in to kiss her, she has something shocking to tell him…

Also today, Alfie informs Stacey that Kat will soon be discharged from the hospital. Another piece of good news is that he has an appointment with a lettings agent. Alfie is still convinced that the insurance money will come through, but Stacey is sceptical.

Finally, Lauren and Peter notice someone taking photos of them from a car in the Square - but who?

    Thursday

Linda's mother Elaine arrives at The Vic following a concerned phone call from Linda. An emotional Linda desperately wants to confide in her mum but she struggles to do so. Elaine wants Linda to get dressed up and go down to the bar, but she is terrified of going downstairs.

Later, Linda's mood brightens when Elaine, Nancy and Johnny all sing a song together at the pub, but she becomes scared when Dean arrives at the pub. She makes her way upstairs but becomes angry when she walks in on Dexter and Nancy kissing on the kitchen table. Elaine manages to calm the situation and when Mick takes Dexter downstairs, will Linda finally tell her mum the truth?

Meanwhile, Roxy finds out from Ronnie what is happening with Charlie. She has to confess to sending Charlie a text from Ronnie's phone.

Elsewhere, Max is left reeling following Emma's shocking information.

    Friday

Linda finds herself growing further away from Mick as she struggles to cope with recent events.

Meanwhile, Lauren notices that she is being followed and rushes off to find Peter in a panic.

Elsewhere, Ronnie heads to Dot's to apologise for the text that Roxy sent to Charlie. Later, Ronnie and Charlie grow closer, much to Dot's delight.
