King hit horror
Chris is badly injured on a special night out - but who is his attacker?

Coward punch, king hit, sucker punch. They're three different ways to describe the same horrific act: punching someone without warning and often for no reason. It's a shocking action pulled straight from Australian news headlines. Now, it's being addressed in dramatic Neighbours storylines involving resident nice guy Chris Pappas (James Mason).

The night starts out A-OK for Chris. Spirits are high as the street prepares for Kyle (Chris Milligan) and Georgia's (Saskia Hampele), Gatsby-themed bucks' and hens night. Chris has been flat out organising the parties, so he wants everything to go perfectly but in typical soapie style, that's just not going to happen for him.

It quickly becomes clear Nate (Meyne Wyatt) has failed to tell Chris some more vital information about his mysterious background. "Chris wants the honest Nate to come out," James, 24, tells Soap Extra. "When he tries to talk to him, he attempts to avoid the conversation. After the two have words, Nate bails, leaving poor Chris even more frazzled.

Later that night at the party, Josh (Harley Bonner) is devastated to discover Amber (Jenna Rosenow) and Daniel (Tim Phillipps) are engaged. "Josh is still very much in love with her, so he's broken," James says. "He ends up drinking but because he's allergic to alcohol, he ends up complete;y wasted."

When Josh begins causing a scene, Chris takes him outside. To make things even more tense, Nate shows up again.

"Chris is putting fires out left, right and centre," James explains. "Then a random guy walks past and sees them all arguing - he's confused about who's in the wrong. Nate tells him to bugger off." Chris then tells Josh to go home - and sends Nate on his way, too. That's when things start to take a nasty turn.

"A short while after that, you see the point of view of the assailant, making you wonder which of the three guys is the attacker," James says. " "After what's been revealed about Nate's past so far, there seems to be potential he did it."

A fist them slams across Chris' face and he falls into the garden and hits his head on a rock. The mystery attacker flees.

Georgia and Kyle wait for Chris to return to the party. When he doesn't show up, they head outside to find him. "Georgia and Kyle go looking for him and discover him in a bad way outside," James says. "He's unconscious with a black eye and also has bruising from where he hit the back of his head"

It's clear Chris is in a critical condition but how bad was the blow?

Everyone's worried because they're not sure what's happened," James says. "It's too soon to tell if he'll recover, so people are wondering if they'll lose him."

For James, he's proud of Neighbours for portraying such a serious issue. "It's so relevant to what's going on in society at the moment," he says. "It's a negative storyline but it had to be done from a realistic point of view. The fact is, not only do the victims suffer but the friends and families do as well."

Poor Chris...injured again. To save time, Dr Karl Kennedy may as well have a bed reserved for Chris at the hospital with the amount of times he`s been there this year!

So Amber and Josh are engaged, I`m sure Imogen will take it well. Wait, this is Imogen after all. If grudges was money, she`d be the richest person in Australia!
I`m sure she has feelings for Danial. It would explain why she`s been an utter b*tch towards Amber and Josh...more than usual. I don`t think she cares two hoots for Josh being betrayed....she just wants what she can`t have....Daniel Robinson.
