Coronation Street's Sean Tully is set to target his own neighbours in a ruthless new storyline.

As we know, Sean's son Dylan Wilson is returning to the cobbles on a more permanent basis, having made a brief appearance back in October. And while having his son back will bring out his better side, his attempts to support Dylan will also lead to some morally questionable behaviour.

With many people struggling for money as a result of the pandemic, Sean will attempt to take advantage of the situation.

"Sean won't be doing anything criminal, but he gets involved with this pyramid scheme that ruins some of his neighbours," Corrie boss Iain MacLeod told Digital Spy and other media.

"He convinces himself that he's doing nothing wrong. Sean thinks it's capitalism, it's how the world works and if everybody worked as hard as him, they'd be a success like he is."

He continued: "It is an unashamedly moral tale of capitalism taken to the extreme and the damage it can do to communities and people. It's not as black and white as Sean turning to crime or anything like that. It'll really play to Antony [Cotton's] strengths.

"Sean doesn't realise what he's getting involved with at first, but it dawns on him what it's doing to him and his relationships with his friends."
