    Exclamation World Cup 2014

Roy Keane has quit ITV's World Cup team to focus on football coaching.

The former Manchester United captain has stepped down from the team of pundits to continue working with the Republic of Ireland setup.

An ITV spokesperson said: "Roy has been a tremendous part of our pundit team in recent years, but we fully understand his decision to concentrate wholly on his coaching. We wish him every success for the future."

Adrian Chiles will present ITV's World Cup 2014 coverage, and will be joined by pundits including Lee Dixon, Patrick Vieira, Glenn Hoddle, Ian Wright, Andros Townsend, Martin O'Neill, Gordon Strachan, Gus Poyet and Fabio Cannavaro.

Keane previously appeared at ITV's World Cup launch two weeks ago, but has decided not to travel to Brazil.

ITV is thought to be open to Keane returning in the future.

I think he has ruled himself out of the celtic role yesterday according to the media but that doesnt mean much anymore!

I think he would be better of staying as a number 2 for a while and see how it goes and learn his trade.

I think Belgium have a feeling of the Netherlands about them fantastic individual players but only time will tell whether they will perform on the big stage.

I think its definitiley going to be a South American team.

Ive Nigeria in the world cup sweepstake! I dont think I will be winning that.
