Dixie risks her job to take a patient to see his dying mother.

Meanwhile, another patient's unusual birthday treat to herself goes awry when she sniffs cocaine.

As Leo tries to recover from his injuries after a motorbike accident, it's up to Dixie to deliver the difficult news that his mum is in a hospice and if he doesn't go and see her soon, it may be too late.

When Leo refuses to make the journey in an ambulance, Dixie has to think creatively and hatches a plan to sneak him out. Will she get caught?

Meanwhile, Zoe tries to find out the history of Ginny, a middle-aged lady who collapsed on her birthday and who is determined not to spend it in the ED.

Elsewhere, having lost £500 on the horses, Fletch is skint and is forced to ask Tess for extra shifts.

Also this week, Cal tries to flirt with Lily but gets nowhere fast.
