Neighbours will air a special single-storyline episode next month as Lauren Turner and Brad Willis think that they have found their long-lost daughter.

The former couple are currently hoping to track down the girl that Lauren gave birth to 20 years ago following the recent revelation that she is still alive.

While the Turner and Willis families initially plan to hire a private detective to take charge of the search, Lauren's youngest son Bailey (Calen Mackenzie) launches a hunt of his own using the internet.

Bailey eventually gets an unexpected result by finding a girl named Lisa Tucker who seems to match the facts, so the Turners and Willises decide to fly her down to Erinsborough for a meeting.

Lauren and Brad's hopes soar as they get to know Lisa, but Brad's wife Terese is less welcoming when she quickly becomes suspicious that something isn't right.

Millie Samuels will be playing the role of Lisa and the episode featuring her arrival focuses on this storyline alone as the consequences for both families are explored.

Lauren's discovery that her daughter is still alive aired on UK screens last week and the emotional episodes were widely praised by fans.

Kate Kendall, who plays Lauren, told Digital Spy last week: "I think the impact of Lauren discovering that she still has a daughter somewhere out there really resonated with viewers. They empathised with both she and Brad which is exactly the reaction we were hoping for, and moving forward, they will continue to invest in their story. There is a lot more to come."

Neighbours airs Lisa's visit on Thursday, April 3 in Australia and Thursday, April 17 on Channel 5 in the UK.
