He left for Galway in Ireland without a wallet and now has a new life there, has he a new wife Liz but no mention of a divorce from Ronnie and never decided to contact Dot or see his son until now, very strange

so how did Dot contact him for Max

He said they got married as soon as the divorce came through. So he must have been in contact with Ronnie some How.
