Lee Carter looks set to go on another downward spiral on EastEnders this Christmas.
The troubled ex-soldier has been battling depression in recent months and it looks like the festive season will bring his issues back to the fore.
Brand new pictures show a struggling Lee (Danny-Boy Hatchard) getting drunk all alone in the cold park following more drama in his personal life.
Mick (Danny Dyer) and Whitney soon track Lee down, but will they be able to console him while he's in such a state?

Lee's latest setback comes the day after Whitney (Shona McGarty) has shared some upsetting news with Mick in a heart-to-heart at the pub.
It's clear that something isn't right between the young couple this Christmas, but exactly why is Lee drowning his sorrows?
EastEnders airs these scenes on Tuesday, December 29 at 7.30pm on BBC One.

Lee is struggling at the thought of becoming a dad and is soon contemplating an abortion but Mick sits him down for a chat which leads to a big admission. Things get more complicated though when Whitney learns that she has chlamydia
Lee Carter will be following Roxy and Ronnie Mitchell out of Albert Square as it's been announced that Danny-Boy Hatchard is being written out of EastEnders.
The Sun first reported that the actor was set to be the third name to leave the BBC soap following the arrival of new executive producer Sean O'Connor this year, and an EastEnders spokesperson confirmed the news to Digital Spy.
"We can confirm that Danny-Boy Hatchard will be leaving EastEnders. Danny-Boy has been a great addition to the cast and we wish him all the best for the future," they
"This was a tough decision for bosses but sometimes to create big storylines, characters need to come and go," an EastEnders insider
"Danny-Boy is an extremely dedicated and versatile actor as well as a hugely popular member of the cast, but with the story they want to play it takes Lee Carter to the end of his time in Walford.
"Although as he is part of the Carter family, no one should rule out a return. Danny-Boy has openly said he only ever had a three year plan so although this has come a little sooner, no one doubts he is bound to land another big role
Danny-Boy first appeared on EastEnders in April 2014 and was critically acclaimed for Lee's depression storyline that pushed him to the brink of suicide.
Lee's been a naughty boy recently though, with his girlfriend Whitney Dean furiously dumping him for cheating on her with Abi Branning - although she rather quickly forgave him
Danny-Boy's departure follows those of Rita Simons and Samantha Womack, whose exit storylines will see their Mitchell siblings, Roxy and Ronnie, leave Albert Square at the same time. Danny Dyer is pretty gutted about the whole thing

Lee's a terrible character so I'm not sorry he's going.

He's been wasted of late.

Why bother with Whitney forgiving Lee? Seems a waste.
