Coming up on EastEnders, tension flares up between David Wicks and Terry Spraggan.

Earlier this week, viewers saw David's daughter Bianca Butcher decide to reunite with Terry (Terry Alderton), ignoring David's advice to steer clear of him.

Later this month, the two men almost come to blows as Terry is livid when he thinks that David (Michael French) has been meddling with his family.

As their confrontation becomes increasingly heated, it's Carol who suffers most as her plans for a quiet evening with her family are ruined by their row.

EastEnders newcomer Nancy Carter causes chaos later this month while trying to help out her parents at the Queen Vic.

As we've previously reported, the new Carter clan will be left horrified when they discover that The Vic has a huge damp problem, which Phil Mitchell failed to mention when he sold the pub to them.

Unfortunately for the Carters, money is tight and they know that their financial problems could get worse when Sharon Rickman reveals plans to open a new bar in direct competition to them.

Rather than parting with cash to call in the experts, the family decide to deal with the problem themselves - but Linda is horrified when Nancy makes matters worse by bursting a water pipe!

Max believes that the mysterious pregnancy test which Carol has found must belong to Lauren. Ready for a showdown, Max heads over to Jake and Sadie's place, with Lauren and Carol in hot pursuit. When he arrives, Max tells Jake that Lauren is pregnant. Lauren quickly insists that this isn't true, but as the arguments continue, Sadie arrives and hears everything…

Later, Lauren is furious over the way things have progressed. She is determined to put things right and heads back to Jake's, where she finds that he is contemplating drinking again. Will Lauren be able to stop him from hitting the bottle?

Meanwhile, Bianca is finally forced to tell Whitney that Carol has cancer when she becomes suspicious. Later, Whitney notices that Liam is acting strangely as Carol is still asking questions about the pregnancy test. Wanting to protect Liam, Whitney claims that the test is hers - but who does it really belong to?

Elsewhere, when Mick and Linda discover that Nancy is still seeing Wayne, Mick suggests that Wayne could carry out the redecoration work which needs to be done at The Vic. What is he planning?

Also today, Alfie's latest money-making idea sees Kat receive a delivery of raw meat.

    Tuesday

The fallout of Lauren and Jake's affair continues, with Abi and Cora both shocked when they learn what has been going on. Lauren is also in for a surprise of her own when she learns of Sadie's decision.

Later, Lauren pays another visit to Jake and finds that he's been drinking. Jake then starts to become increasingly manic over the situation and heads into his car. A desperate Lauren gets into the vehicle with him, but is soon left terrified over his behaviour…

Meanwhile, Mick and Linda aren't happy when Wayne manages to do a good job at The Vic. They'd been hoping he would slip up, so Linda comes up with a cunning plan to get rid of him for good.

Elsewhere, David's antics are causing more tension with Max at the car lot, but David soon tries to put things right.

Also today, Bianca fears that Carol is working too hard at the café, while Kat asks Shirley to help sell the meat for a cut of the profits.

    Thursday

As Max, Cora and Abi watch on helplessly, Jake speeds off with Lauren in the car. As Lauren argues with Jake, he loses control of the vehicle and hits a buggy that Kat is pushing. Has history just repeated itself for Jake?

Meanwhile, Mick and Linda's latest plan sees them mollycoddle Wayne, and they're pleased when it all becomes too much for him. Nancy warns that they'll never be able to split her and Wayne up, but then Linda finally finds some proof of Wayne's bad side. With Nancy shocked by the truth about her boyfriend, she gets revenge on him.

Elsewhere, Shirley's plan to make pies with Kat's meat runs into trouble when Johnny finds a dog tag in the food. Shirley demands a refund but Kat refuses to cooperate.

    Friday

Sharon's plans to open a wine bar cause tension with Linda, who doesn't want the competition. Soon afterwards, Linda once again urges Mick to ask his dad for some money to help with their problems. However, Mick refuses out of respect for Shirley, who has a long-standing feud with their dad.

Later, things go from bad to worse for the Carters when Linda has to recall all of the pies that have come from the kitchen as Johnny suspects the mince is dog meat. If that wasn't bad enough, an environmental health inspector turns up and Nancy hits a water pipe. When Linda blames Shirley for causing all of the family's problems and Sharon makes an announcement in the pub about the bar, Shirley takes action by throwing Sharon out and telling Mick that they will go to see their father…

Meanwhile, Carol is annoyed when a quiet evening with her family at The Vic is ruined by Terry and David fighting. When they finally stop, Carol updates them all on her test results following another hospital appointment earlier that day.

Elsewhere, a tough new market inspector named Aleks arrives in Walford and warns Tamwar that he needs to prove himself if he wants to keep his job. When Aleks finds out that Kat is behind with her pitch payments, he puts Tamwar on probation.

EastEnders siblings Mick and Shirley Carter are forced to resort to drastic measures next week, as their money problems intensify.

As previously reported, the Carters' problems continue as they struggle to cope with a damp problem at The Vic, which is later made worse when Nancy bursts a water pipe.

When Linda suggests that Mick turn to his dad for money, he initially refuses as he has promised Shirley he won't due to her long-standing feud with him.

Determined to help with the family's financial problems, Shirley has an idea to make pies out of a load of meat she has bought from Kat Moon. However, when Johnny becomes suspicious after discovering a dog-tag in it, a worried Shirley demands a refund but Kat refuses.

When she discovers that they have an environmental health inspector turning up, the week's events finally take their toll on Linda and she lashes out at Shirley, accusing her of causing all of their problems.

EastEnders airs these scenes on Friday, January 24 at 8pm on BBC One.

EastEnders' Max Branning has a furious showdown with Jake Stone in tonight's episode (January 20).

Max (Jake Wood) loses his temper after jumping to the conclusion that his daughter Lauren is expecting Jake's baby, despite her protests that she isn't pregnant.

Certain that his suspicions are correct, Max storms round to confront Jake (Jamie Lomas) over the consequences of his affair, but is everything as it seems?

EastEnders' baby mystery began last week as Carol Jackson found a positive pregnancy test in the bin at home. She was then left guessing as she came up with various theories about who it could belong to.

EastEnders airs these scenes tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
