Why can't a wedding be normal in corrie

I hear something is going to happen on the day of Karl and Stella's wedding after they tie the knot. The numbers of wedding days ruined are endless in corrie, Tracy's and Steve's, Leanne and Nick's, etc etc can we not have one wedding that goes smoothly please.
