Emmerdale's Debbie Dingle takes her desire for revenge to terrifying extremes later this month as she threatens to kill her aunt Chas.

The pair's relationship changed forever last year when Debbie (Charley Webb) discovered that Chas had been having an affair with her partner Cameron Murray.

With no end to the family feud in sight, Lisa Dingle decides to invite Chas and Debbie over for a meal, hoping they can finally sort things out.

Debbie surprises everyone by agreeing to go, and she even offers Chas a lift when the day of the gathering arrives.

Inside the car, however, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) becomes unsettled as Debbie drives straight past the Dingles' home. When Chas asks what's going on, Debbie declares that the only place she's going is to the morgue!

Chas urges Debbie to drop the act, but becomes concerned as Debbie pulls up at an abandoned barn and gets a gun out of the boot.

Debbie then forces Chas into the barn and makes her tie herself to a pipe. Chas is left fearing for her life as Debbie holds her at gunpoint…

Robbie insists to Debbie that he is having nothing to do with her plan and doesn't even want to be seen talking to her. Soon afterwards, Chas is confused when Debbie arrives at The Woolpack wanting to talk. Debbie tells Chas that she is sorry for what she has done and the pair seemingly arrive at a truce.

Outside the church, Cain questions Robbie about Debbie's stunt with Cameron's kids and is concerned that something else is going on. Robbie considers telling him but decides against it.

Later, Lisa has a call from Chas to say that she and Debbie are coming to the Dingle family meal. On Main Street, Chas is thrown when Debbie pulls up and offers her a lift to the Dingles'. Chas feels something is amiss, but Debbie forcefully persuades her to get in the car.

Debbie drives past the Dingles' and Chas asks if she has forgotten the way. Chas thinks Debbie is being petty as she continues driving. However, Chas is unsettled when Debbie tells her the only place she is going is to the morgue...

Elsewhere, Jimmy is incredulous when Jude exposes Nicola's lies to the education authority, Paddy hesitates as he signs the partnership paperwork, while Lisa makes partial peace with Belle

    Tuesday

There is worry all round as Zak's gun is missing and Jai explains that he saw Chas and Debbie driving together. At the same time, Chas becomes fearful when Debbie snatches her phone when she goes to call Lisa. Chas tells Debbie to drop her act, but she is genuinely fearful when Debbie gets Zak's gun out of the boot. Debbie forces Chas into the barn and makes her tie herself to a pipe as Chas fears for her life.

Soon afterwards, Cain and Charity visit Robbie and Cain threatens him, wanting the truth about Debbie. Cain and Charity then head off in the car, fearful about what she might have done. In the barn, Debbie slaps Chas in the face, wanting a reaction. She then brings a scarf to cover her eyes and Chas is terrified as she hears the shell being inserted into the gun.

When Charity and Cain arrive at the barn, Debbie reveals herself, gun in hand. Debbie gets ready to shoot Chas, telling her that she is not untouchable like she thinks. She is calm as she says it would be worth it, no matter what happens to her…

Meanwhile, Megan tells Ali to get rid of the dog, but Ruby thinks it is good for Sean. Ali tells Megan to get a life, leaving her fuming. In the village, Sean tries to teach the dog to respond to his commands when Megan passes and is riled by his comments to her. Megan later visits Ali and tells her that she is doing a property inspection tomorrow. Megan is clearly pleased with herself.

Elsewhere, Jimmy and Nicola continue to argue about Nicola's lies to get Angel into Robblesfield, while Paddy and Vanessa's differing opinions are clear after they've signed the papers.

    Wednesday

Ruby is tidying for the landlord inspection, but Ali is refusing to run round after Megan. Ruby sends Sean out with the dog, saying that she will give him a signal when the coast is clear. Ali is determined that the dog is staying and they are not bowing down to Megan.

Later, Megan is surprised at how tidy Brook looks and imagines her and Robbie living there. However, Ali and Ruby don't realise this and feel the inspection is going well. Megan rearranges the curtains and Sean takes this as his cue to return, entering with the dog, much to Megan's shock. Megan says they cannot stay there with it, and she is furious when Sean calls the dog 'Meg'. When she has gone, Ali reassures a worried Sean that Megan does not have the power to evict them.

Meanwhile, Moira is shocked and worried as Cain tells her what happened with Debbie. It seems he is at the end of his tether. At the same time, Charity tries to get through to Debbie. However, Debbie thinks that Charity and Cain are on Chas's side and tells her mum to go.

Elsewhere, Alicia is worried when Jacob is sent a toy helicopter in the post from Leyla, while Brenda has made letters for her nearest and dearest which she asks Bob to pass on in case she doesn't make it.

    Thursday

    Hour-long episode

    Rachel bunches Megan
Rachel is annoyed that Megan is threatening to evict Ali and Ruby. When Megan arrives at Brook Cottage with Zak to measure up, Rachel realises Megan's game to move in. Rachel pushes Megan towards the door, leaving Megan furious. Megan then provokes Rachel, who punches her hard in the face just as Declan and Ali arrive. Rachel is still ready to take another shot at Megan when Ali and Ruby block her from hitting her again. Megan is furious and wants to call the police to have Rachel done for assault.

Later in the pub, Jai defends Rachel, which Charity picks up on. Charity tests Jai over his loyalty to Rachel, telling him that he will have to sack her. Jai is in a panic and asks Rishi how he can persuade Charity not to fire Rachel and worries what will happen to Archie if Rachel gets sent down.

Later, Rachel feels guilty when Jai comes round, asking what happens if she is taken to prison and social services come for Archie. When an intrigued Charity sees Jai's car outside Tenants, she goes to investigate. Charity watches from outside as Rachel and Jai argue. She believes her fears are confirmed about Jai being Archie's father when she sees Rachel storm out, leaving him holding his son.

At the same time, Ali visits Megan and apologises on Rachel's behalf. However, she is confused when Megan suggests there is only one way to resolve it. Megan delivers her ultimatum - she will not go to the police as long as the Spencer family leave Brook Cottage within 24 hours.

Elsewhere, David tells Priya that he cannot take her for lunch, claiming that he has to do a stock take. However, Priya is suspicious when Victoria later tells her that David has gone to lunch. David is with Alicia, promising that she has nothing to worry about over Leyla as he has called her. Priya is angry as she watches them hug from the doorway. David chases after her, but Priya is upset at being lied to.

With no other option, David blurts out the truth about Leyla being Jacob's real mum, regretting it instantly. Later, Alicia is devastated when she realises that David has told Priya the truth. Priya enjoys seeing that there is now a wedge between David and Alicia. David continues to apologise to Alicia, but will she accept it?

Also today, Brenda's family are anxious as she goes in for surgery, while Gemma seduces Sean.

    Friday

After seeing Jai and Rachel with the baby, Charity's mind whirls. She feigns illness and tells Jai that she is not going into work. Once he has gone, she fires up his laptop, looking for clues. Soon afterwards, Charity visits Declan, who is surprised when she puts her idea to him. Declan flounders at her suggestion that Jai is Archie's father, but Charity needs more proof.

At the same time, Rachel tells Ali that they will have to all move in with her. However, Jai is furious over this proposal. Jai spots Rachel passing the factory and intervenes. Fed up with his interference, Rachel dumps baby Archie on him - declaring that if he is such a great parent, he can have a go.

Charity finds Jai looking after baby Archie
Inside the factory, Rishi and Jai are in a panic over what to do, just as Charity bursts through the doors. Charity's warpath is paused briefly by the shocking sight of Archie in Jai's arms. She can barely believe what she is seeing and lets out an ironic laugh to see the truth staring her in the face. Jai is left facing his worst nightmare.

Meanwhile, Gennie and Bob are nervous as they head to see Brenda. Brenda thanks Bob for being there for her.

Elsewhere, Gemma is mortified when Sean tells her that yesterday was a massive mistake.

Charley Webb has insisted that the show does not glamorise the use of guns.

Webb's character Debbie Dingle will hold her aunt Chas at gunpoint in tomorrow night's instalment of the ITV soap.

Speaking to The Sun about Debbie's drastic behaviour, Webb said: "She does intend to kill her, she's had a breakdown and lost the plot.

"Either something will happen for her to suddenly get on the right track or she will get locked away!"

She added: "It doesn't glamorise guns because we can totally see that this girl is at rock bottom.

"It's a massive thing. The reality is that people can't get hold of guns, she's only got one from the Dingles. That's why I didn't get a little pistol like Angelina."

Webb admitted that she found filming the scenes both mentally and physically draining.

"It was such an intense day. When you're doing emotional stuff it just knackers you and you're so exhausted by the end of it, when you get home you can hardly speak."

She continued: "It's challenging to play such a bad girl and make it believable, so long as she's got layers then she's fine.

"There has to be vulnerability and you have to remember why she's doing what she's doing - she was never just a bitch."

Emmerdale airs these scenes tonight (Monday, April 22) and tomorrow night (Tuesday, April 23) at 7pm on ITV.
