Meanwhile, Emmerdale's Nikhil Sharma surprises partner Gennie Walker by suggesting that they should get married soon.

Nikhil (Rik Makarem) comes up with the idea as he knows that it might be their only chance to tie the knot while Gennie's mum Brenda is still around.

With Brenda still refusing to have treatment for her brain tumour, Nikhil and Gennie (Sian Reese-Williams) are slowly coming to terms with the prospect of losing her.

Brenda even calls a family meeting and urges everyone to support her decision, pointing out that she can't fight her loved ones as well as a tumour.

Although initially taken aback by Nikhil's suggestion, Gennie agrees to get their wedding sorted as soon as possible.

The couple are pleased with their plans as they share the news, but Brenda is far from impressed as she thinks it's all a ploy to get her to have the operation…

Monday

Belle is horrified when a police car pulls up and Lisa explains that it's the only way to get the pictures taken down. PC Lewis questions Belle about the photos and how they got onto the internet. An angry Lisa seems determined to press charges, wanting them to interview Thomas too. Once the police have spoken to Thomas, Jimmy tells him that he is no longer allowed to see Belle - not only is she underage, she is a Dingle. He tells Thomas that he is only allowed out of the house in order to go to work. Sean is also questioned by the police, but after consideration his luck is in as PC Lewis decides not to take things further.

Later, Thomas leaves work to tell Belle that he is not going to dump her. Zak is furious to get home and catch Thomas there, but Thomastells that Zak he can't keep them apart. Jimmy is angry to learn that Thomas has disobeyed him, and he and Nicola tell a shocked Thomas they are sending him back to Saudi.

Meanwhile, Nikhil is angry when Ali turns up late for work on her first day as supervisor. Soon afterwards, Lisa and Ali have to be separated from a vicious confrontation. Nikhil calls Ali into the office, where she accidentally knocks over a cup of coffee on the French contract. Unable to hide the damage, she pockets it. Nikhil arrives and Ali promises to prove herself to him.

Elsewhere, Brenda tells Gennie that she has met someone who deals in alternative therapies and Gennie is upset. Later, Brenda is shocked when Gennie spells it out - she is going to lose her mum due to her refusal to have the surgery.

Also today, Vanessa jokingly suggests that now she has money she could buy into the vets but Rhona thinks it might be a good idea, while Robbie and Megan both wonder why Declan is getting so involved when he warns Robbie to stay away from Chas and Cameron.

Tuesday

Gennie is annoyed to learn that Brenda has gone to an alternative therapy clinic, convinced that Brenda's attitude is going to kill her. When Brenda returns, she is upset as Gennie decides that she can't see Molly any more, as she shouldn't get used to her grandmother being around. Bob tells Gennie that punishing Brenda won't change her mind - she needs to work it out for herself.

Later, Brenda calls a meeting in the church, thinking everyone believes she's a goner. She tells Bob, Gennie and Nikhil that she needs them on her side - she can't fight them as well as a tumour, and she wants to enjoy the time she has left. Upset, Gennie hugs her, still unconvinced that all will be okay.

Meanwhile, Belle tries to convince Lisa that Thomas isn't bad, but Lisa is cynical. Zak worries about what will happen when Belle discovers that Thomas is going back to Saudi. Over at the Kings', Thomas is gutted when Jimmy tells him to hand in his notice as he has booked him a flight for Thursday. Later, Thomas tells Gemma in the café, who quickly relays the news to Belle.

Elsewhere, Rhona's painkillers have run out, so she explains to Doctor Abbott that she can't afford to stop working and is relieved to be prescribed even stronger tablets. Rhona returns to the vets and tells Paddy that she has to work part time even though they can't afford this. Vanessa then tells them that she's serious about her offer. Paddy is put under pressure as Rhona looks at him expectantly, while Vanessa points out how much the deal could work in his favour.

Also today, Ali reads the coffee-stained contract at home and sees how much the factory is making. She tells Ruby that the workers deserve a pay rise. Later, Ali manages to sneak the contract back into the office unseen.

Wednesday

Nikhil is worried about Gennie and visits Katie to ask how he can cheer her up. While there, he is given an idea when Alicia chats about a wedding dress. Later, Gennie is shocked when Nikhil suggests they get married soon, explaining that it might be their only chance to get married while Brenda is present. Nikhil is chuffed when Gennie agrees.

Later, Rodney panics when Brenda has an absence seizure and calls Bob. When Brenda comes round she is puzzled by Rodney's reaction. Bob tries to calm Brenda down as she is angry, believing they are overreacting. Brenda shouts at Bob, who holds her until she calms down. Bob sees Heath and Cathy watching scared, and is irked when Rodney questions his ability to care for Brenda when he has the twins to consider.

Meanwhile, Paddy resentfully accepts Vanessa's offer, but Rhona tells him that he should be more grateful. Vanessa is delighted, thanking Rhona for talking him round. Paddy is irked when Vanessa suggests a business meeting as she has a list of ideas. Paddy is unnerved by the dynamic between Vanessa and Rhona.

Elsewhere, Ali wants to fight for more money for the factory workers but Ruby warns her not to blow her opportunity, while Belle and Thomas are both caught out as they try sneaking out to meet each other.

Thursday

It's almost time for Thomas to leave for the airport, but he texts Belle and asks her to meet him. Jimmy is riled when Thomas disappears just as they are about to set off. Thomas is desperate as he asks for Sean's help to nick Dan's camper van so he can leave. At the garage, Sean slyly pockets Dan's van keys and takes them to Thomas.

Later, Belle takes her chance and legs it out of the house, knowing that Zak won't be able to catch her. She meets Thomas and the pair embrace. Thomas tells her that he's leaving in Dan's van and Belle insists she's going with him. Paddy is dismayed as he watches Thomas bundle Belle into the van. Paddy explains to Jimmy what he has seen, as Lisa calls the police to report an abduction…

Meanwhile, Gennie and Nikhil are happy as they call their families to meet them in the pub to tell them their news. However, Brenda is annoyed when she finds out that Gennie and Nikhil are bringing their wedding forward, thinking they're only doing it because of her illness. Gennie is riled as she tries to talk to Brenda about her wedding and Brenda thinks it's a ploy to get her to have the operation.

Elsewhere, Pearl is unimpressed by new boss Vanessa - especially when Vanessa suggests they might cut her hours, Ali tries to ask Jai and Rishi about a pay rise for the girls but they get the wrong end of the stick and think she is asking for herself, Georgia and Rodney enjoy each other's company before she takes Brenda for her homeopathy appointment, while Katie is intrigued when Steve has an idea involving buying a racehorse.

Sean is in the doghouse when Dan realises that he gave Thomas his van keys. Dan marches his son over to see Jimmy and Nicola. By the woods, Belle is caught up in the excitement of running away with Thomas but he is panicking, knowing the police will be looking for them. Thomas prevents Belle from calling her mum and goes to get some supplies as she insists that she wants to stay with him.

Back in the village, Lisa is distraught when Cain suggests that Thomas might hurt Belle - he is Carl's son after all. In the camper van, Belle is stressed as she waits for Thomas to return and calls home. She panics when Lisa says the police are involved and that Thomas wants to hurt her. Belle hangs up in tears. When Thomas returns, it's clear that Lisa's words have made Belle doubt him. Thomas tries to reassure her as he starts up the van and they head off.

Meanwhile, Gennie is determined to change Brenda's mind, but Brenda is hurt that Gennie has humiliated her over the wedding. At the same time, Nikhil begins to doubt Gennie's motives for wanting to get married. Later, Bob and Nikhil feel under pressure as Gennie insists the wedding is still on, with or without Brenda.

Elsewhere, Katie is keen to get involved in the racehorse deal but Declan has private misgivings, Vanessa apologises to Pearl when Paddy gets involved, while Ali tries to get a pay rise for the girls but is thwarted when Jai explains that some weeks he can barely cover their wages.

Friday

Belle is anxious when Thomas suggests that they drive to Brighton, as it's cheap to camp there. Soon afterwards, Thomas reels when an upset Belle tells him that the van was where Chas and Carl were on the night his father was killed. He gives her a blanket and tells her to get some sleep while he drives.

Later, Belle is confused and upset when she wakes up and is back home in the village. Thomas tells her that he's doing it for her and tries to persuade her that they're doing the right thing - facing the music together.

Meanwhile, Steve and Katie are ready to go see the horse, but Bernice is stung by their closeness. Declan is thoughtful when Bernice tells him that it's only a vanity investment. Later, Katie is shocked and Bernice looks guilty when Declan tells Steve that he is out of the deal as the only people who'll make money are the bookies. Katie is downbeat about losing the racehorse, but Declan is clearly up to something. Later, Megan is shocked when Declan tells her that he's buying the horse for Katie, cutting out Steve and his middlemen.

Elsewhere, Sean throws a stick for stray dog Edward and it accidentally hits Megan on the head, while Priya is fuming about Gennie and Nikhil's wedding but feels for her brother as he thinks they're only doing it because of Brenda.

Schoolgirl Belle Dingle insists on joining Thomas King as he runs away from the village in tonight's hour-long episode (April 4).

Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) rushes to see Thomas after he steals Dan Spencer's campervan to make a speedy exit, wanting to leave on his own terms rather than being sent back to Saudi.

Although Thomas (Mark Flanagan) thinks Belle just wants to say goodbye, she shocks him by demanding to go with him. Put on the spot, he reluctantly bundles her into the van and drives off.

With Paddy Kirk witnessing the whole thing, he quickly lets the Dingles know what he's seen. Horrified, Lisa calls the police to report an abduction…
