Zoe returns to the ED following sick leave, and she clashes with Ash over his decision to keep the overstretched ED open during the flu crisis. Will she see him as too reckless to offer a permanent position?
Meanwhile, as an estranged couple try to present a united front for their ill son, they clash over his care. After the young boy goes missing from the ED, it is down to Jeff and Dixie to bring him back to Holby for some much needed treatment.
Elsewhere, Fletch and Tess take on the care of two elderly patients, Lizzie and Bill. But when Lizzie's son Mark arrives, it is clear there are concerns about the relationship between the two patients.
