Coming up on Coronation Street, Eva Price considers leaving the cobbles with her grandmother Gloria's elderly fiancé Eric.

Eric (Timothy West) quickly takes a shine to Eva when he arrives in Weatherfield with Gloria, noticing how unhappy she is with her life. He's also fed up with Gloria after realising that she's only interested in his money.

Eva (Catherine Tyldesley) is in for a shock when Eric offers her an escape from her current woes, inviting her to travel the world with him. The feisty blonde refuses to give an answer straight away, but as things seem to be getting worse for her rather than better, she gives the offer serious consideration.

Later, Stella (Michelle Collins) is outraged when she discovers that Eva might be running off with Gloria's man. Stella discovers that Eric is pursuing Eva. Stella is shocked that Eva is considering Eric's offer. Eva tries to explain herself to Stella by admitting just how much she's struggling with life in Weatherfield. Although Stella softens slightly towards her daughter, she continues urgings her to stick around rather than leaving with Eric. In the end, Eva prepares to let Eric down gently, but she is horrified to find he has died in the Rovers bar!

Gail is in turmoil as David brings Kylie home from hospital. Nick begs her not to dwell on it, but Gail can't resist having a dig at Kylie.

When David overhears them rowing, he demands to know what's going on. As a defiant Gail challenges Kylie to tell him the truth, will she confess all?

Meanwhile, Eric presses Eva for an answer to his proposition. She's undecided, but after a hellish day at work, will Eva accept Eric's offer to travel round the world with him?

Elsewhere, Chesney is angry when a hung-over Katy admits that she spent £50 on her night out. Later, Katy is cheered when Ryan thanks her for getting him his first DJ gig.

Also, Jason and Tim set off to Leeds on a job. Faye is disappointed that she won't see her dad for a week, but Anna and Owen are quietly relieved.

Finally, Jenna warns Lloyd that Mandy is preparing to take Flash out of hibernation. Will he come clean about her pet's demise?

With Nick's eyes burning into her, Gail loses her bottle and blusters that Kylie doesn't want the baby. A row escalates and when Gail refuses to apologise, David orders her out.

After confiding in Sally, will a devastated Gail leave? Or will she decide it's time David knew the truth?

Katy is exhilarated by the hustle and bustle of work, but when Ryan showers her with compliments then moves in for a kiss, will she respond?

Meanwhile, Eva is sceptical of her gran's grief when Gloria contacts Eric's solicitor to ask about his will. Eva insists on accompanying her to the funeral parlour, disgusted that she plans to use his money to splash out on a lavish funeral.

Elsewhere, Kylie encourages David to make the first move with Gail. But when he calls at the Websters', apologising and asking her to return home, will Gail explain the real reason why she left?

Also today, Fiz is pleased that Tyrone has changed his mind and wants her to visit him in prison. But when he tells her to forget about him and move on with her life, will she agree?

Finally, Mandy takes Flash's run to the tip, but discovers more than she bargained for there!

Friday

Meanwhile, Gloria is excited when Eric's solicitor calls at the pub to discuss his will. But when he arrives with a woman called Doris in tow, it appears that Eric may not have been everything he seemed. Will Gloria inherit Eric's wealth?

Elsewhere, Mandy enjoys making Lloyd squirm as they scatter Flash's 'ashes'. But how long will she keep up the charade?

Also, Eileen and Sean are puzzled when Paul takes up running in a bid to get into shape.

Finally, Fiz worries as the gossip starts about Tyrone's forthcoming trial.

Katy and Ryan are kissing, but they spring apart when Dev walks in. Flustered, Katy tells him that she's quitting her job because Chesney objects.

Corrie's Gail McIntyre alienates her family even further in tonight's double bill of the soap (February 25).

Gail (Helen Worth) struggles to keep a lid on her temper when Kylie (Paula Lane) returns home from hospital amid a huge fuss from David, Nick and Audrey.

Still fuming over Kylie's betrayal of David, Gail launches into an angry rant and asks her how she can sleep at night. Oblivious to what's really behind the argument, David (Jack P Shepherd) loses patience with his mum and kicks her out of the Platt house.

Corrie star Ryan Thomas has said that Jason Grimshaw's relationship with Stella Price is becoming more than just a fling.

Jason started dating the Rovers landlady last year, and viewers see their romance step up a gear next month as Stella invites him to move into the pub.

Stella makes the offer to Jason just as her ex-partner Karl Munro (John Michie) is becoming increasingly sinister in his attempts to win her back.

Thomas told Soaplife: "Jason enjoys breaking the news to Karl that he's moving into The Rovers. It's Jason's turn to be smug now! It may have started out as just a bit of fun, but I think he's really falling for Stella. They've made a real connection."

Asked whether they make a good couple, the actor replied: "I think they do. When they first got together, they'd both just come out of relationships with Karl and Maria where they hadn't been treated very well, and they gave each other what they needed. There's definitely chemistry. They have fun together and both want to make it work."

Amid the happy times, however, Jason is furious with Karl as he knows the schemer is responsible when his work van is stolen and torched.

Thomas added: "After the van incident, Jason's seething. Karl's started this feud and Jason isn't prepared to let it lie. But when Stella begs him not to let Karl ruin their relationship, Jason's forced to try to be the bigger man.

"The viewers will see that in Karl's mind, this is far from over. But Jason doesn't feel at all threatened by Karl - he just wants him out of the picture. If he knew what Karl was capable of, then he would be more worried."

Corrie cabbie Karl Munro crosses a line in tonight's double bill (March 1) as he steps up his attempts to win back Stella Price.

A misguided Karl (John Michie) sees fresh hope of a reunion with Stella (Michelle Collins) when he spends the evening drinking at the Rovers Return and notices that they seem to be on friendly terms again.

Once it's closing time at the pub, Karl lingers behind and begs Stella for another chance, claiming that her new romance with Jason Grimshaw has turned her into a laughing stock.

Stella firmly insists that she's not interested in getting back with Karl, leaving him crushed. As Karl suddenly grabs his ex and refuses to let go, it's clear that he's reluctant to take no for an answer…
